Now reading: Chapter 175 - 122: Periodic Table of Elements from Westminster Bank, a Fantasy novel by Yan Yao.

The body was eleven inches long, nearly three hundred milliters, which was three inches longer than the longest eight-inch model from the sa batch.

The barrel’s caliber was still the original 200mm, nothing particularly noteworthy. The only thing worth ntioning was the blade mounted on the barrel.

The blade was sharp and thin. In the midday sun, the unique snowflake patterns of the Snow Pattern Steel glinted with a cold, fire-like light.

Its edge faced upward, the spine of the blade fitted snugly against the barrel via a slot at the front.

Opening his eyes, Baron plucked a strand of hair and blew it against the blade. It was instantly severed!

It could slice a single hair carried by the wind.

But Baron wasn’t worried that the incredibly sharp edge would harm him. An intuition told him that ever since the blood-binding ritual, these two Spear Swords had beco one with him.

Harming himself with them was simply impossible!

Baron took a deep breath and, following his intuition, flexed his shoulders.

With that movent, the slots on the barrels sprang open. The twin blades carved two wicked arcs through the air, yet they moved without a sound, like a lone tiger baring its fangs in the night.

Master Michael nodded happily, apparently quite satisfied with the Spear Swords’ craftsmanship. "There are tal dummies over here. Care to test them out?"

Baron nodded, then lunged toward the tal dummies in the center of the room. He hacked, slashed, chopped, hooked, and stabbed, the gleam of the blades creating dark golden phantoms in the air.

By the ti Master Michael and his apprentice could react, the dummies had been diced into minceat—literally.

Master Michael clutched his head and cried out, "OMG!"

His cry was partly out of terror at Baron’s swordsmanship, but also out of grief for the dummies. Forged from fire-steel, they were specifically designed for testing weapon strength and had "faithfully served" his Alchemy Workshop for decades.

The Alchemy Apprentice sighed. ’Those dummies have been with Master for so long, they were probably like family to him.’

Master Michael knelt sorrowfully amid the fragnts of the dummies, looked at Baron, and said, "This is going to cost you extra."

He paused, then corrected himself. "Write two more formulas, I an."

The Alchemy Apprentice: "..."

The apprentice was stunned. ’Is the Periodic Table of Elents really that amazing? Amazing enough to make the notoriously stingy Alchemist willing to pay such a price for it?’

Baron shrugged. "Deal. But first, you can pay the 500 Silver Coins you owe ."

The Alchemy Apprentice smiled. He thought that while Mr. L was a formidable fighter, he had still underestimated his master.

Master Michael nodded and told the Alchemy Apprentice to fetch five Gold Coins from his personal coffers.

"What’s wrong? Can’t you hear ?"

Master Michael chided, seeing the apprentice’s still-dazed expression.

......

"In short, the subject of Chemistry is the study of matter... Class dismissed. I an, that’s all for today. If you have any questions, you can ask them now."

"I can answer them, but I can’t guarantee I’ll be right."

Baron spoke to a crowd of Alchemists in Master Michael’s Alchemy Workshop.

After hearing his explanation of the Periodic Table of Elents, as well as atoms, molecules, and various equations, the Alchemists of Fude City were lost in thought.

Those from the chanical School were especially interested. At Master Michael’s signal, they began bombarding Baron with post-lecture questions, just like the academic overachievers from Zhou Yike’s past life who would pester the teacher for more explanations after class.

For example:

"Which Alchemist from Feinan was it who established this field of Chemistry? Could you... introduce us?"

’He’s probably, maybe, most likely dead. If you want to et him, your best bet is reading Prole’s version of the *Divine Cody*.’

"So it wasn’t Feinan who was ignorant and isolated—it was us! Has Feinan’s Chemistry really advanced to such a horrifying degree?"

’Dude, you’ve got the wrong script. And by the way, is your evil laugh supposed to be "Mwahahaha" or sothing?’

"Feinan has really researched the elents down to the atomic and molecular level? If I ever get the chance, I’d love to et this Alchemist nad ndelev."

’He’s dead too.’

"Chemistry is such a miraculous discipline. How could Feinan possess such advanced techniques and experience, yet never publicize it?"

’Because it’s not from Feinan, it’s from a place in the Otherworld called Earth.’ Baron’s gaze shifted. He realized the origin of Chemistry would be difficult to explain.

After all, while Feinan was isolationist, it wasn’t to the sa extent as so nations in his past life.

Besides, he’d heard that Feinan was planning to send a grand delegation of a thousand people ashore for the upcoming Imperial Selection Ceremony. If this matter were to be exposed then, being disgraced would be the least of his worries; being hunted down would be the real problem.

Baron was just about to offer an explanation when he saw that several of the Alchemists had already started defending him:

"It must be that King Feinan, the one who exiled you, Mr. L! He persecutes the loyal and is jealous of the talented! That’s why those Alchemists have kept their work a secret!"

"They possess such a wealth of knowledge, yet they can only hide it away, compiling it into a text called *Junior High School Chemistry* to secretly pass on to you, Mr. L!"

"Mr. L risked life and limb to bring this knowledge of Chemistry to us! We must not fail the hopes of Mr. L and those Alchemists of Feinan! We must make Chemistry flourish!"

"It’s all King Feinan’s fault!"

By the end, those few Alchemists were filled with righteous indignation, denouncing King Feinan on Baron’s behalf.

’Baron could only offer a few seconds of silent mourning for King Feinan’s reputation in Prole. Deep down, he was secretly delighted. He’d been the scapegoat so many tis; he never thought he’d see the day soone else would be made to take the fall for him.’

’King Feinan, right? Just bear with it for now. If I ever get my na cleared in the future, I’ll clear yours too.’

Seeing that ti was almost up, Baron realized that if this continued, his perfectly good Junior High School Chemistry lesson would devolve into a "Denounce King Feinan Rally."

Baron gave a quick cough, interrupting the Alchemists’ crusade against King Feinan’s cris. "From now on, please raise your hand if you have a question. I’ll answer them one by one."
