Now reading: Chapter 76: There’s Still Bigger Ones from What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?, a Action novel by Draekai.

We settled in the room for the night as we got ready to sleep.

I had my own tent to myself of course, which was the sa one that I had back when we were dealing with the first rift as my first official mission as a Mortal God.

Which ans that the interior was bigger than the exterior thanks to so magic enchantnt or sothing.

I wasn’t really planning to sleep tonight anyway since I was going to be absorbing the Qi energy from the air which would replace my need to sleep.

As I finished absorbing the Qi energy for the night, I opened my eyes and looked around the tent.

The bed was right there and while I could just go and sleep anyway, it feels like it would be a waste of ti if I did.

Thus, I decided I might as well go and take a walk around the bunny girl colony just to see the place before it is torn down.

I poked my head out from the tent to see that everyone was still in their tents.

I considered just heading out by myself but I guess the Guardians will panic if I did not at least inform soone before I left.

That’s why I went over to Olivia’s tent first and poked my head through the flaps.

"Olivia?" I called out.

The red Oni spun around with slight panic in her eyes and I realised why almost imdiately as she did not have a top on.

My eyes drifted down to stare at the giant lons that swung into view for a mont before I managed to recover enough of my senses to withdraw from the tent while muttering out an apology.

"S... Sorry! I should have knocked!"

Sounds of scrambling ca from inside and she quickly poked her head out from the tent, "My Lord! I apologise for showing you such a disgraceful sight! Umm... What do you need from ?"

I coughed, trying to avert my gaze from her since she was still topless and only covered by the tent flaps at the mont.

"Ahem... I was just going to tell you that I’m going out for a walk. So there’s no need to worry about ."

She blinked at , "You’re going out for a walk, my Lord? Ah! Please give a mont to get dressed and I’ll accompany you!"

I shook my head, "It’s fine, all of you worked hard fighting against the Anomalies in the day so you should take so ti to rest yourself. I’ll just be walking around this place."

She didn’t seem to agree and looked like she was going to argue but I held up a hand to stop her, "Just rest, Olivia. Don’t worry about . If it makes you feel better, that’s an order."

She grimaced but nodded, "Please call if anything happens, my Lord."

I nodded, waving my phone to show that I had it on before I stepped out of the room.

As I stepped out into the corridor, the sounds of construction work could be heard as the bunny girls were working in shifts to dismantle and pack up all the things they needed to bring along with them to our World.

This was the migration of an entire colony so it’s understandable that it would be a monuntal task for them.

The room that we were given was located around the centre of the colony and I had the choice of going up or down.

At least... That was what I thought until I noticed that the bunny girls had set up barricades on the path upwards while they were working on moving and dismantling the stuff on the upper levels.

Since I would feel bad if I disturbed them, I decided to head towards the lower levels instead.

Walking down the path, I passed through what was the residential area of the bunny girls and the doors were mostly closed shut as most of them had already turned in for the night.

Obviously I wasn’t going to go barging into anyone’s rooms right now so I walked past them silently and I quickly found myself at the bottom of the chasm again.

The marks of our fight with the Anomalies were still scattered around though I guess the destroyed machines were also a big indicator as well.

I decided to check that the hole was still properly patched and headed towards the tunnel, weaving through the pieces of wrecked machinery.

When I got to the tunnel, there were four bunny girls that were seated just outside of the hole that had been covered with several broken pieces of scrap tal to hide it.

All four of them seed to be ard with lee weapons which was a surprising sight considering the fact that they have advanced machinery as part of their tech.

I guess they probably did not focus their research in the firearms tech tree or sothing and kept to using cold weapons instead.

All four of them jumped in surprise when they saw though they quickly relaxed when they realised who it was.

"Saviour!"

"Saviour, you’re here to check the hole?"

"Saviour, you’re not resting?"

"Saviour, thank you for protecting us!"

Yeah... Seems like they had spread that na around so that’s what they’re calling now.

I cleared my throat, "Ahem... Good job so far. Were there any problems? Any sounds or signs that the err... Rock Munchers might be trying to get through?"

All of them shook their heads.

"Not at all!"

"All is quiet, Saviour!"

"No sounds at all!"

"Saviour scared them away good!"

I most definitely did not scare them away but I didn’t feel like explaining about the Commander Class Anomaly right now so I didn’t try to correct her.

Also... I’d think if they knew about it, they would panic even more and that’s the last thing I want to happen.

I was going to tell them to keep up the good work when a soft, almost inaudible thump ca from behind the barricade.

The ears of the bunny girls twitched which told I did not just imagine the sound and all of us turned to look at the barricade.

Then, the soft thump ca again.

I sucked in a breath before whispering, "All of you... Slowly back away from there..."

They did not argue and did as I asked, the four bunny girls slowly padding away from the barricade while I approached it.

I gestured towards one of the bunny girls to give her weapons and she quickly handed the sword and shield over to .

The shield that was big enough to cover her upper body was basically just a buckler in my hands and the sword was a dagger that was barely as long as my lower arm.

The size didn’t really matter as I just needed them as a dium to channel Jia Lian’s Arcane Construct power in case I needed to fight.

As I approached the barricade intending to try and peek through the gaps, another thump ca from behind it, this one sounding like it was right outside the barricade.

I then heard a snort which was followed by the whisper of wind.

Trusting my instinct, I raised the buckler and tried my best to project an arcane shield in front of .

The shield that was projected turned the buckler into a kite shield just in ti as the barricade was suddenly flung towards , its pieces smashing against my shield.

My construct held but the force of the blow was enough to send skidding back a step before I dug my heels in to stop myself.

Shoving the barricade aside, I found myself looking up at an Anomaly that was even bigger than the orc types that had stord here earlier.

If those were orcs, this might have been an elite orc or sothing.

The Anomaly’s head tilted to the side slightly at the sight of , as though mocking for being smaller in size.

I furrowed my brows as I took a mont to check behind it, finding no other Anomalies behind it.

That ans this one’s alone then...

If it’s a one on one...

I charged towards it with my shield up, smashing it against the Anomaly and forcing it back through the hole.

It retreated a few steps before it too, dug in its heels and stopped itself from moving any further.

So this one’s strength is also on par with mine huh?

I noticed it raising its arm and attempted a swipe at , only to grab empty air as I ducked my head before slashing the sword that I had coated with the blue construct at its abdon.

I wasn’t sure if it was also strong enough to withstand my blow so I used my full strength to swing it, only for the blade to easily slice through the creature and cut it in half.

The Anomaly clawed at its waist for a mont before it fell backwards, the top half of its body bouncing once before rolling to the side, unmoving.

Huh... Well that was anticlimatic...
