This is a dead, human body that was purposely stripped of all clothes and had at hooks pierced through his back to string him up on a chain like he was just another piece of at behind the glass window.
This was no accident for sure…

I went closer and realised that the entire back row of the at fridge was entirely filled with corpses.

And actually… Upon closer inspection… These animal carcasses… They're fake…

I actually can figure out several reasons on why these things are even here.
I already knew that this place is a front for so criminal group and they're doing various illegal stuff over here.
So if I had to guess, they must have various enemies targeting them from both sides of the law. And since these guys aren't that set on following the law, they might go for the most efficient way of getting rid of their problems.
I'm guessing these guys got killed and their bodies are being kept here to be disposed of later.

Well, that just ans I have to keep to the packaged ats though… Which I felt was a downgrade from what I had bought the previous ti.
I went over to the aisles of packaged ats and picked one of the packages up, only to pause when I saw what was on the package.
This is synthat… Not organic at…
I started looking through the other shelves and found every single one of them was just synthat, there's no organic at here at all.
Huh… Did Steiner bring to the wrong room?
I walked over to the old man who was still moping in front of the wall. Seriously though, how long are you going to stay like this?

He groaned and turned to , "Right… Yeah… They're at the back… You'll need the machine to cut the at for you… The controls are over there…"
He gestured to the spot nearby where a console as well as a conveyor belt was located.
There was a steel shutter behind the belt so I assu that I just select what at I want and there'll be machines behind that would process the ats for ? That's convenient.
I went over to the console panel and looked at the choices on the screen. There seems to be multiple different types of at available and you could even select what type of cut you want.
That's pretty cool.
Let's see… I guess I can just try it out first.
I tapped on the screen to select a 'tenderloin cut' and the machine started whirring in the back.
Wait… Why do I hear chains rattling from the direction of the fake carcasses?
I turned towards the source of the noise and it seed like there were so movents over there for so reason?
Wait, wait, wait! No fucking way! This is not happening, is it?!
I rushed towards the back of the room and found there was another tal shutter that had opened up and the very back row was being fed through the opening.
The back row where the corpses were…
I pressed myself against the glass to try and get a better view and sure enough, I spotted one of the corpses disappearing through the opening before the tal shutter slid closed.
There was the sound of machinery operating behind the shutter and I was trying to think if there was just actual animal at being processed behind there and these just happened to be at the end of the line.
That was when the shutter opened and the chain reversed, revealing the corpse that had gone through was now missing one of his legs.
No fucking way…
I rushed back to the conveyor belt just as the shutter behind the conveyor belt opened and several pieces of at ca out on a tray.
I stared at it, wondering how exactly I should feel about this.
Taking a step towards the conveyor belt, I took a closer look at the at to make sure that I was not mistaken and this actually ca from that corpse's leg and it wasn't just a coincidence.
As much as I didn't want to, I didn't find any gloves around so I had to use my hands to slowly piece the at together and I found myself looking at what looked like a really crude section of a calf.
A human calf, that is…
Ugh… I need to wash my hands… Why isn't there anywhere to wash hands here? Are there no such things as health codes here?
Putting the tray of human at aside, I decided to try again just to be sure.
This ti, I tapped on a different type of at and the sa sounds started once again.
I imdiately made a rush towards the end to press myself against the glass just to see the tal shutter lift up and the sa corpse brought inside via the chain before the door shut itself.
Then it was just the whirring sounds of heavy machinery before the shutter opened up to spit the corpse back, this ti with both of its legs missing.
Fuck…
I went back to the conveyor belt just as the tray of at was brought out, cut in the exact sa way as the first one despite tapping on a different cut of at on the console.
This confirms it…
This fucking place is feeding their guests fucking human flesh and passing it off as organic at… Is this how they get rid of their enemies?

I set the pan aside and went over to Steiner, my fist clenched behind .
"Steiner?" I called out to the chef.
He turned and looked at with the usual lifeless eyes, "Are you done here then?"
I shook my head, "I just wanna ask where do you get your organic at from?"
He actually straightened himself and turned to face , "I… Don't really know. I'm not the one who orders them. Is there sothing wrong with it? Don't tell I fucked up in that too?"
I stared at him for a mont and I realised he was genuinely clueless about it.
"When do you normally co here to get at?" I asked.
"I don't. It's usually one of the servers who would co get it if we get an order for at dishes. But I do have the authority to co down here, of course."
"So… You would send soone down here to get the at?"
"Normally yes. They would use that machine over there to cut out the organic at and then deliver it back up to the kitchen for us to prepare. In fact, your steak would have been made from that."
Oh fuck, fuck, fuck… We almost ate human at! What the fuck?!
Ok, I'm panicking a little here because now I'm questioning if all the at we've had so far were actually what they were supposed to be or if we had also unknowingly consud human flesh as well? This is so fucked up.
I wondered if I should tell Steiner the truth for a mont. Then I decided that it might not be a good idea since I wasn't sure how he would react and how the syndicate behind this hotel would react if they knew that I knew what was going on down here.
That's why I'll just go ask Mara and the others instead.
I shook my head, "I think your ats look a little… Bad… So maybe you need to order in so fresh ones or sothing… Don't use anymore of them and just throw them away."
"Ah… I see… I'll let the people in charge know then… Thanks for telling . I guess that ans you're not taking any at?"
"Yeah… I'll just go back and take so of your fish if you don't mind?"
"Right. Of course. This way then."
I followed him out of the room and hoped that everyone after us that was supposed to be fed with this would be able to avoid eating that…
Fuck… Was this a one ti thing or have they been doing this ever since the beginning? Are those corpses really their enemies or did they go out and catch so people to slaughter and hang there as their at?
