We went to the cargo bay to test out Ries's drones after her new update.
As we were heading there, Lea appeared from the hydroponics room wearing only her underwear and tilted her head at the sight of us.
"Hello Mistress, hello Ries. What are you doing?"
"Oh, Ries was just about to show the updates she did to the drones. Wanna watch too?" I asked, trying my best not to stare at her cleavage.
"May I?"
I turned to Ries and she shrugged, "Sure, why not?"
The three of us thus went towards the cargo bay together with Ries leading the way.
"What kind of update did you do?" Lea asked, moving to match my walking speed.
Ries grinned at her, "Oh you'll see~"
As we stepped into the cargo bay, I realised Ries must have given them an order remotely because they were all hovering in the middle of the cargo bay all ford up in ranks.
Lea raised an eyebrow at the sight, "You made them into soldiers?"
Ries brought out her personal terminal and started tapping on it, "In a sense. What do you know about these drones?"
"They're cargo drones, aren't they?" The Alv asked, looking at Ries. "How effective would they be in fighting off boarders?"
Ries did not answer and simply tapped on her personal terminal and prompted four cargo drones to fly towards us.
I wondered what they were going to do when they suddenly split up and went straight for Lea.
She only had ti to flinch back when the drones grabbed her limbs and lifted her up into the air, spreading her arms and legs out while hovering a few feet in the air.
Despite lifting an entire person up into the air, it doesn't seem like the drones were even struggling despite the weight.
These drones were designed to haul pretty heavy equipnt so having four of these drones capture you like that… I'm pretty sure they could just carry you wherever they want.
I looked up at Lea, who was giving Ries a dirty look, while doing my best not to laugh at her unfortunate state, "Ahem… Ah… Umm… This looks… Ehe… This looks pretty effective. Why doesn't everyone use this to fight?"
"That's because the drones themselves are rather fragile and could easily be destroyed if soone were to attack them," Ries explained while tapping the side of her cheek. "Although… If I were to get so reactive armour plating and so shields… I could change that too."
Lea then spoke up, "Also, these drones are designed to haul things that don't struggle. So if you were to just do this…"
She pulled her limbs together and the drones quickly lost control and got flung away, allowing Lea to free herself without much effort.
She dropped down and landed gracefully on her feet with a soft thump, taking a mont to adjust her bra and causing her boobs to bounce.
Ries didn't even look bothered by how easily she got free and turned to , "Yes, what she said."
Alv frowned at her, "So what's the use of it?"
"The point of it is to disrupt them, slow them down and also warn us in the event of such people appearing on our ship."
I nodded, "Right, so in case soone sneaks on board the ship, these drones would at least be able to warn us about it and also maybe try to hinder or capture them for us to deal with."
Ries got visibly excited, "Oh, yes, yes! When we get more drones I could just simply add them to the sa system and we could theoretically have an infinite number of them operating under the sa process! So there's no limit to just using cargo drones!"
Both Lea and I blinked at her, not entirely sure what she ant by that.
The Maochatte must have realised that because she quickly cleared her throat, "Ahem… What I ant was that we could get combat drones, security drones, dic drones and other types of drones which I can just install this AI into and they would be able to communicate with each other to work together as well. So we don't need to worry about an intruder subduing a drone and then staying hidden because the other drones would already know what the intruder did."
I gave her a look, "Where can we get more drones then?"
She widened her eyes at , "Wait… Boss… You want to get more drones?"
I raised an eyebrow, "Do you not want to? I was under the impression that you wanted to get more after what you just said?"
"Ohhh! Oh! Ohh… Wait… Umm… Boss… I guess I should tell you that… I erm… Could get a little overboard with these types of machines…"
"And how overboard are we talking about?"
"Umm… If left to my own devices… I might just go ahead and buy like… A few hundred of them…"
I tilted my head, "And would you actually use all those few hundred drones?"
She quickly nodded her head, "Yes! And not just to protect or maintain the ship! Although I suppose that's one of the things they would be doing but that's not the point. I could get parts from other types of drones and then take them apart to make new drones that could fulfil multiple roles! In fact, I might be able to make them follow us and serve as guards too!"
Ok, that sounds pretty cool actually.
We're not a really big group by any ans so there were already multiple scenarios where we were outnumbered in fights. Most of the ti we managed to win because we had superior equipnt or we had the elent of surprise in those fights.
But if I could also have the advantage of numbers on our side too, I would most definitely not say no either.
And no, I do not count Mara amongst our numbers because if she is seen outside with her Psionic abilities, news would definitely spread around and it would make it pointless for her to be hiding with us anyway. Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire
That's why I would say that she would only use her abilities when there's no choice… And that whoever she uses it on won't be able to spread the news to others.
So when Ries told about the potential of having drones accompany us out as guards, that was sothing I was instantly interested in.
And Ries could tell I was interested in that because her ears and tail imdiately perked up.
"If Boss doesn't mind… I don't even need to get the drones themselves! I just need materials and I could build them on my own too! Although… I guess it would take a longer ti… No, wait… If I were to have a replicator and an assembler… I would just need to set up a production line… But then I would need to sacrifice space that I could use for a disassembler fra…"
I chuckled, "Don't worry, Ries. We would be earning more money anyway and if we were to get jobs that we need to deal with pirates or thugs, we can loot stuff from them that you can use. So you can just plan out what you need and then I'll get what you need."
Ries gasped, "Nyaaa! I love you Boss!! You're the best Boss ever!"
Lea raised her hand slightly, "Mistress… I also need so other materials for the hydroponics farm as well."
I chuckled, "Are you asking for permission to buy them as well?"
She nodded and I was about to just tell her she could just tell the price and I'll transfer the money to her when she reached up and snapped the clasp off her bra to let it slip off her shoulders.
Then, without hesitation, she hooked her fingers around the band of her panties and she slipped it down to her ankles before stepping out of them.

"Please use as you like as paynt, Mistress," She announced.
I was staring at her naked breasts for a good two seconds before I recovered with a cough, "Ahem… You don't need to do that, Lea… Your garden is literally going to feed us so there's no way I'm going to skim on buying the best materials and equipnt you need to keep that going."
She gestured towards herself, "Oh, I am doing this because I want to, Mistress. I just got really horny all of a sudden and I would very much like for Mistress to take in your room. Though I would not mind if Mistress were to not mind taking right here either."
