I went back to the ship without incident and let the girls handle the transportation of our new loot.
Amber took our transport drones and brought it back to the thug's hideout, which turned out to only be a few streets down from where the Guild building was located.
Amber wanted to have a quickie before she left but I told her not to make the others wait.
She pouted at so I relented and gave her a kiss for it which seed to be enough to satisfy her for now.
In exchange for playing that little prank on the girls, I decided to make sothing nice for them.
I don't think making a full al is necessary since we've already eaten quite a lot back at the Guild. Thus, I was thinking that I would make so desserts for them instead.
Hmmm… What could I make for them that wouldn't be too filling but would also satisfy them?
I guess… Maybe cookies? Sothing sweet… I'll need to see what we have in the kitchens then.
I went over to the kitchens to look through the ingredients we have to figure out what I could make.
When I opened the pantry, I found the bottle of my homade vanilla extract standing beside the box of sugar.
A shelf down and it was by bottle of egg whites.
Alright, I think I know what to make now.
I went ahead to start gathering the things I needed to make so ringue cookies.
All I need are the egg whites, the vanilla extract, so cream of tartar then salt and sugar.
Yep, that's all I need.
Laying out all my ingredients on the counter, I started by preheating the oven before I went over to pour the egg whites, cream of tartar, salt and the vanilla extract into a bowl.
I then started mixing them up with a mixer until it started to turn foamy before I went over to get the sugar.
With the sugar beside my mixture, I added one tablespoon into it and placed it in the automatic mixer.
I let it mix until the sugar has completely dissolved before stopping the mixer to add another teaspoon of sugar into the bowl.
I then repeated the process of mixing and adding sugar until the mixture turned into a white creamy substance with stiff glossy peaks.
That's a sign that my ringue mixture is ready.
I went over to take a baking tray and lined a baking sheet over it before pulling out one of my pastry bags to transfer the ringue mixture into the bag.
With a star shaped nozzle attached to the pastry bag, I brought the mixture to the baking tray to squeeze them out into palm sized bites.
Lining up the entire baking tray, I realised that it actually made a lot more than I thought and had to bring out a second tray to fill that up as well.
In the end, I had about fifty pieces of them laid out on the baking tray.
I believe this should be enough for all of us and even if it wasn't, I could just bake more anyway since it was pretty easy to do.
I carried both trays to the oven and placed them inside to let them bake.
If the girls were already here, I can put it on speed mode which would drastically reduce the ti needed for the cookies to be ready but since they weren't, I could do this the normal way which would take a while to prepare.
I let the cookies bake in the oven which would take about forty to forty five minutes which I would then let them cool in the oven for another hour before I take them out.
In the anti, I went to boil so water to prepare so tea to go with the cookies.
I was intending to try another attempt at making lemon tea but using sothing else as the sweetener since I still don't have honey.
The obvious choice would be sugar but I was hoping to use sothing to get that viscosity that honey would give.
The other choice that ca to mind was maple syrup but I don't have that either.
My gaze drifted down to my waist, more specifically my crotch.
Nah… I'm not that desperate yet.
I decided to just go with sugar for now as I went ahead to take out the tea leaves to make the tea.
I also went to the back to get myself so lemons that would go into the tea as well.
Incidentally, Lea had also started growing lemon trees so I don't need to hold back on using these either.
As the water boiled, I used it to brew the tea, letting the tea sit for a while for the leaves to diffuse its flavour.
Once that was done, I poured the orange brown liquid into a cup that held a slice of the lemon I prepped beforehand and stirred with a spoon after adding so sugar.
I then lifted the spoon to taste it and frowned when I felt it wasn't sweet enough.
I added another spoonful and stirred again before tasting it once more.
Hmm… It's getting sweeter but still not good enough.
The next spoonful gave the sweetness I wanted but now it tasted more like sweetened tea than the lemon tea taste I wanted.
I tossed in so ice to let it cool while adding just another bit of sugar to stir it around once more.
Mmm… Ok… This one's just a little bit closer to the taste but it still feels like sothing is missing and it's not the sweetness.
I guess this would be good enough to pass off as lemon flavoured tea with sugar… But not as the lemon tea I wanted.
Oh well… Can't expect to get everything right anyway.
I enjoyed the tea right as the oven gave out a chi to indicate the baking was done.
I shut off the oven and left them sitting in there which would take another hour before they would be ready to serve.
Through the glass of the oven, I could see that they have taken shape quite well and I think they would taste just as good, if not better, than they looked.
I sat at the kitchen counter, scrolling through my Codex to surf the GalaNet.
Right now I was looking up market listing's of that electric hamr that thug boss was using.
I honestly wasn't expecting to find any result but surprisingly, there were quite a number.
In fact, I found out that the model he had been using was a model that had been discontinued due to its weakness of exploding if sothing destroyed its head when it was about to discharge its electricity.
Guess I was either really lucky or really unlucky that I was faced with sothing like this and even exploited its weakness without aning to…
Welp… That still brought to the other models of this type of weapon though, and they all seem pretty interesting to .
I wasn't just going to purchase one like this since I do want to test one out for real before deciding on purchasing it so maybe Mara or Ries could point to a store sowhere on this station where I could try one of these out.
Right as the tir I had set for the cookies went off, the door also opened and the girls walked in, all of them looking quite worn out but with satisfied looks on their faces.
Guess they must be quite happy with the amount of loot we got from those thugs.
I pulled out the baking trays from the oven and the sll of the vanilla ringue cookies wafted towards the girls and their eyes imdiately locked onto .
I smiled at them, "I made so cookies but they're still hot so give them so ti to cool. In the anti, I tried to make so lemon tea again so you girls can try that first and tell what you think."
Placing the trays of cookies aside, I beckoned for them to co over and they had to tear their eyes away from the baking trays to shuffle over to where I was.
I poured out the tea for each of them but left the sugar aside so that they could choose how sweet they wanted their tea to be.
Lea took the first sip and let out a sigh of content, "It is perfect as it is, Mistress."
Amber, however, disagreed, "I think it's missing sothing though… And I don't know what it is… The sugar doesn't seem to be helping either…"
I nodded, "Yeah… I did say this before, right? I need honey and we don't have that here."
Mara turned to stare at , "In that case… Why don't we use yours?"
Wh? Wait… Are you seri-- Why are all of you surrounding right now?
