Uggghhh…. Why did I agree to this?
I stared at the dozen bottles in front of that I had just made.
This process was going slower than I thought… At the rate that I was going, it might take more than the ti I estimated to complete…
I looked around the kitchen, wondering if there was an easier way to do this.
I have been doing this by hand all this while but is there actually a way to automate this? I can't believe I didn't think about this sooner…
Then again, I guess it's because I've been experinting all this while and only made small batches so there wasn't a problem with just making them by hand.
But now that I have an order of a thousand different condints to make, I kind of want to automate this process now…
But well… I have to admit that I don't know the full capabilities of my own kitchen yet.
The instruction manual for each of the appliances were like dictionary levels of thick and I have yet to fully read through them. No, they didn't print out the books, I was talking about the digital pages that were loaded up on my Codex.
Well… Maybe I can get so help with this…
I left the kitchen and went over to the workshop where I knew I could find a certain Maochatte inside.
When I stepped through the doorway, I found Ries hunched over her work table inspecting one of the power armour parts under a holographic screen projected in between her face and the part itself.
She had a really serious and, dare I say tranquil, look on her face and she didn't even hear co in since she was so absorbed in it.
I had to clear my throat behind her which caused the catgirl to jump in surprise before spinning around to find standing behind her.
"Oh! Boss! Sorry! I didn't hear you co in! Umm… Is there anything you need?"
"It's not really important but I was just wondering about sothing if you have the ti?"
She patted her hands on her sides and nodded, "Anything for you Boss! What do you want to know?"
I scratched my cheek, "Well… You might already know that I have a huge order for condints and sauces that I have to make for Tyle… I was wondering if there was anything in the kitchens that could help automate the process instead of doing it by hand?"
She blinked at , "Eh? I believe there should be? I think so of the machines there do have that function built in already? I'm not very sure though, since… Erm… Kitchen appliances aren't my area of interest…"
"Well… Maybe you can point out which ones? I have no idea which of them might have that function just from looks alone…"
"Of course, Boss!" She agreed enthusiastically, wiping her hands on a towel that she kept near her work table.
With her following behind , we went back to the kitchens and she took a mont to look around at the appliances before pointing at the one that I was using as a stove.
"That one? I think? There's a belt at the side that you can just put in a container and mix stuff in it I think…"
"Do you know how to use it?"
She hesitated, "Ummm… I can try I guess?"
Both of us went over to the stove and she looked around the appliance for a short while before she reached towards the side and pulled out a console that I didn't even know was there.
A screen popped up and she scrolled through the screen before nodding, "Yep. We should be able to just put a container on the belt and then there's a receiver at the other side that you can drop whatever ingredients you want to mix there. Then you can control the portioning from here and the machine will do the rest."
I grimaced, "Can't believe I didn't know this… You spotted this so easily…"
Ries quickly waved her hands, "Oh! No, no! I only know this because there's so processing machines that also have the sa function so I just used my experience with them to help with this! I think the fact that Boss is able to use this without prior knowledge is the real thing that is impressive!"
She is so cute~ I managed to refrain myself from patting her for now but I'll definitely pat her later.
"So how do we use it?" I asked.
"Ummm… We just need to put in the ingredients and specify the ratio to mix. Does Boss have the ingredients?"
"Even better, I wrote the recipe down. Here."
Since I was doing this a thousand tis, I thought to standardise the ingredients used to make these condints and sauces so I wasn't making sothing completely new each ti.
That's why I wrote down the ingredients on my Codex and also specified the amount for each ingredient.
I even had the ingredients separated and prepared so I could simply just dump all of them into the machine to set the paraters for it to mix.
I sent the recipe to her and gave her the ingredients which she imdiately brought over to the stove to shove them inside. She then took an empty bottle and placed it on the conveyor belt before returning back to the console.
Ries then operated the console and I peeked over her shoulder to see that the machine had automatically identified each of the ingredients and from here, we could control just how to mix them together.
I then watched Ries follow the recipe I gave her as she inputted the numbers into the console itself.
The mont she hit the confirm button, the machine ca to life and started whirring as it mixed the ingredients together t o make the sauce I had created.
Just saying, this was my attempt at making barbecue sauce and I have to say that it ca out pretty well and it was also quite a big hit as well.
That's why I thought that making a bunch of this would be a good idea which was why I was planning to fill an entire box just with this sauce.
Of course, I also intend to make other types of sauces instead of just this one sauce but I have yet to decide what other sauces I want to make.
Now that I know I can just use this stove to automate making this sauce, it opens up a lot more choices for as well~
It took the machine about a minute to complete the sauce and it ca out from the conveyor belt in the bottle that she had placed earlier.
Ohhh~ That was pretty fast. I think I can probably finish this really quickly then!
Or at least with sothing else helping , it will definitely make this process quicker!
Ries took the bottle from the conveyor belt and handed it to , "What do you think Boss?"
I shrugged, "I an… It followed the recipe I made so it should be exactly the sa right?"
I dipped my finger into the sauce and then brought it up to my mouth to taste.
Mmmm!! Mmm… Hmm… Huh?
I ran over to the table and picked up one of the bottles that I had just made and dipped my finger into it to taste it.
Yes! This is the taste! But…
I dipped my finger into the one that was just made from the machine and brought it up to my mouth again to lick it off my finger.
…
Why?!
It's exactly the sa! Why does it taste different!
I an… It's not bad, but it feels like there's sothing missing… Just like when the others tried to follow the recipe I made…
Wait a minute…
I went over to the machine's console, ignoring Ries who was looking at with concern at the mont.
Her settings were still there so all I had to do was to double check that the numbers were correct before I pressed the button to start.
The machine ca back to life again and I waited in front of the conveyor belt, staring at the space where the bottle would co out from.
The mont it appeared, I snatched it off the conveyor belt and then imdiately tried to test it by bringing a small bit of it into my mouth.
…
What in the flying fuck?! The recipe is exactly the sa! Why does it still not taste the sa?! I don't understand!!
Is it just that the machines in this universe suck that much?! I don't even do anything special aside from just literally tossing them all together and mixing it to get the taste!! It's not like I do sothing special like do a dance and say a prayer before I even do it! How the hell can a machine screw sothing like this up?!
Is there really no other way but for to make it by hand?! This is bullshit!
