We approached the location of the smuggling ring which was indicated on the map we were given.
The place turned out to be a walled-in warehouse district that the gangs took over to set up as their base of operations.
I did a quick check on my gear and turned towards the front entrance of the warehouse district.
What? I have power armour, did you think I was going to use it to sneak in through the back entrance?

Shoulder mounted P-Five-M Autocannon… Fire!!!
The cannon on my shoulder blasted a high explosive round at the gates of said district, the resulting impact completely blowing the gates off its hinges and taking parts of the wall with them.
Shouts of alarm ca from behind the blown off door but I wasn't going to give them a chance to recover as I charged straight in through the front door.
On the way, I passed by a group of rcs who had clearly been intending to try to sneak inside and they watched run past them with wide eyes.
I most definitely ruined their plans by doing this but hey, every rc for themselves.
Oh, and I was even using the suit's external caras to record my carnage as proof of my kills to get the bonus rewards from our very generous client.
As I ran through the front gates, two drones flew alongside , their guns already firing at unseen enemies within the smoke that my initial blast had created.
Ries should be controlling them from where Lea had set up her overwatch to support .
And as though she heard ntion her, a sniper round ca flying down to blast the head off of a thug that I didn't notice hiding behind the wall. Yes, Lea actually knew this guy was behind the wall and shot through the wall to kill him.
A number of thugs had already stumbled out from a few of the warehouses, trying to see what was the cause of the explosion.
That was your biggest mistake you can make in your life~
I raised up both of my arms, lining up my dual miniguns attached to my left arm and the dual heavy automatic shotguns on my right arm to the crowd in front of .
The thugs only had a second to widen their eyes when they realised what they were looking at before I started shooting.
A loud whining sound could be heard when my minigun spun up right before it was drowned out by the sound of over a hundred rounds being fired a second to completely blast them to bits.
Accompanying it were shotgun pellets that were designed to punch through even tank armour from my heavy shotguns, the thugs' flesh disintegrating under the force of the pellets hitting them.
I swung my hands in a slow arc in front of , cutting down the thugs like I was wielding an invisible scythe as my bullets tore through them.
"Fuck!! We're under attack! We're-- Bleeeghhh!"
"Take cover! Take-- Aaaargh!!!"
"Call for backup! Call-- Pfft!!"
Get out of there! We have to- Beeuughhh!!"
I had only held down the trigger for about four seconds and when I stopped, the once noisy space in front of had been silenced, leaving a mass of dead bodies in front of .
So of them had been decapitated by my bullets tearing through their necks and a few of them even had been separated into half at the waist, cutting them into two.
As I was about to advance however, the sound of foot stomping ca from behind and I turned to point my shotgun at the direction of the sound.
The people behind quickly raised up their hands and I realised it was just a few of the other rcs who had also rushed here after seeing my entry, the stomping sound coming from the two power armour guys.
I lowered my guns and spoke through the suit's external speakers, "Let's just agree… We don't get in each other's way and whoever gets the kill gets the reward. If multiple people took the sa person down, you share the rewards, how about that?"
All of them nodded.
That's what you get when you show overwhelming power. No one's going to say no to you, at least not to your face.
Am I still expecting them to try and steal each other's kills and maybe even mine? Sure.
Am I expecting them to try and backstab each other and even ? Of course.
Am I prepared to shoot them for doing any of that to ? Definitely.
That's why, I put these guys at the back of my mind and started advancing into the warehouse district.
Of course, I haven't forgotten that our main goal here was to kill the leader and everything else was secondary. The thing was… My role in this wasn't actually to kill the leader, it was to create as much noise as possible so that the leader is flushed out from wherever he is hiding.
Ries had brought four drones with her, two of them currently hovering with as my backup while the other two were engaged in sothing else.
One of them was hovering all the way up in the air as her eye in the sky, using its scanners to detect anyone trying to leave the compound so that she would be able to spot the leader imdiately if he tried to flee.
And if he did… Lea would be able to snipe him no matter where he was.
It was also thanks to the drone earlier that she was able to know there was soone hiding behind the wall, by the way.
The last drone was currently doing a deep scan of the place to look for alternate routes of escape in case there was an underground tunnel sowhere, this drone would be able to find it.
I thought it was using so really special tech to find the tunnels but Ries just told that it was just using vibrations it sends into the ground at various spots to find them.
She did ntion that there was tech that would allow such a scan without doing that but she didn't have that on hand at the mont.
Either way, I'm really just here to make as much noise as I can. And these rcs are also part of our plan to make that noise since they would definitely be forcing the leader to run which we will then be able to take him out and collect the bonus reward for ourselves.
Ha! Did you think I was trying to play fair with these rcs? Not a chance.

I stomped past the dead bodies and my shield flared to life as several bullets were deflected by it.
I spun towards the source of the shooting to see so weird thug firing his pistol at while running straight at .
I didn't even hesitate and simply raised my right arm to fire a shot from my heavy shotgun.
The pellets not only blasted him back but absolutely blew several holes through his body the size of soccer balls.
The other rcs behind started panicking as they realised I was basically taking all the kills and rushed ahead of , kicking down the doors of the warehouses to start shooting down any thugs they saw.
The other two guys with power armour also stomped past , one of them seed to be a lee type with a blade in one hand and a chain blade in the other while the other power armour had a flathrower and a minigun of his own on the other arm.
As I said, I was really just here to make as much noise as possible so I wasn't too worried about these rchs trying to overtake to kill those thugs.
That's why I was just leisurely following along behind and shooting at any thugs that managed to slip out from those warehouses.
As we were moving deeper inside where the larger warehouses were, the thugs had set up a defensive periter and started fighting back but we had three power armour on our side so we were basically able to roll past their defenses like they weren't even there.
The lee type power armour literally jumped into the crowd and started slashing away like he was kicking around toys while shrugging off the blows coming at him from the thugs.
It looked like we would be steamrolling this as well until one of the thugs leapt towards the lee type power armour and punched at it in the chest.
You'd think that that was just a desperate act of defiance against sothing bigger but…
There was a loud crack before that power armour got sent flying back and it even sailed over my head to crash onto the ground behind .
I turned back to look at that lee power armour, only to see a fist imprint on that chest plate.
Oh wait… They did say these guys are gene modded, didn't they?
