What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company? Chapter 532: Watching Over The Client

I shifted slightly in my power armour, keeping my sights trained on the Station Administrator that was currently walking through one of the most dangerous places on this station.

We've been watching over his procession for the past hour and thankfully, nothing has happened yet.

To say that he was making a show out of this would be an understatent seeing that there was an entire news crew following him and recording his walk through the streets.

He passed by several residents here and even greeted them before engaging in conversation with them in front of the cara. I have no doubt those people were paid actors because they were thanking him for dealing with the gang war happening around here.

There was no way normal people here would know he was involved with what we've done so these people he's talking to were definitely either paid off or weren't even real residents to begin with.

Either way, it's none of my business so I don't really care.

My eyes darted to the top right of my HUD to see the video call of all of my girls lined up in the corner of my screen. We were maintaining this contact so that all of us could be updated on any changes imdiately should there be any.

Ries and Lea were perched up on top of a roof that gave them a clearview of the entire street our client was walking through while Amber was in the building a few blocks down from and Mara a few blocks down from her.

As soon as Deviminio reaches the edge of my sight, I would be leaving this building and heading to the next one to watch the next part of the area.

"Anything on your sides?" I asked through the comms.

"Everything's quiet up here, Boss."

"Nothing so far here, Tera."

"Quiet for as well, Captain."

I'm starting to think that we had been too paranoid and nothing was going to happen at all.

Still, that doesn't an we were going to lower our guard right now.

"Alright, I'm moving to the next location," I told the girls through the comms.

I pushed myself away from the ledge and started moving through the alleyway of the buildings, making sure I was hidden from sight from the people out on the streets.

I was concerned that these buildings would have residents in them but it seems like they were emptied for this occasion.

From what I understood, everyone in this entire area was paid to fuck off sowhere else during this event.

I don't even know how much money went into doing that but I wasn't complaining since this made our job easier. Anyone we found in any of these buildings would either be one of us or an enemy.

Which is why…

I opened the door leading to the rooftop and froze when I saw soone I don't know leaning against the rooftop with a rifle at his side leaning against the ledge.

I lifted my right arm that were fitted with the dual miniguns and aid at the guy at the ledge, "You there! Don't move!"

He spun around and pulled out a pistol to point at , only to freeze when he realised that he was facing against soone in power armour and his pistol was completely useless.

He then quickly raised his hands, "Wait, wait, you're one of the rcs hired to protect Mister Deviminio right? I'm part of his security detail! Look!"

I watched him closely as he reached into his coat pocket slowly to pull out a badge that had a specific crest on it.

Right, that's one of the ways we could identify his security detail from others.

I lowered my arm, "Right. I guess you have this rooftop covered? I'll set up sowhere else then."

He placed his badge back in his coat, "Yes. Thanks for your hard work."

Since this building already had soone watching over this area, being there would be pointless so I moved to the next area instead.

The next area was a smaller building and it had a walkway along the outside of the building so I was planning to set up there.

When I reached the area though, there was a group of three guys huddled behind the railing.

And they seem to be trying to open so kind of tallic box that they had laid on the ground.

I raised my arm with the minigun, "All of you, hands up!"

The person closest to imdiately spun around and brought up a rifle to fire a few shots in my direction, the gun only making a slight hissing sound when it fired which ant the gun was suppressed.

My shield materialised and blocked the bullets from touching , not that it could even bypass my armour anyway.

The three guys widened their eyes when they saw .

"Fuck! Why is there a power armour here?!"

"Where's our anti-armour grenade?!"

Well, that's all I needed to hear…

The miniguns spun up on my arm before a hail of bullets tore into the three n, ripping them all to shreds in less than a second.

I watched as they fell onto the ground before a puddle of blood started pooling under them before I addressed my girls through the call.

"Seems like we might actually have so problems after all… Ries?"

My Maochatte tapped on her personal terminal and frowned, "I didn't see them enter that building at all from the outside so… They might have already been hiding there even before we ca here. It might be a coincidence or our route got leaked and there might be an ambush around here."

"Girls, do a search and let the security team know that we found so enemies."

"Already on it, Boss!"

As reliable as always.

I went over to the dead bodies while still keeping an eye out in case there were any more of these people hiding around here.

I knelt on a knee to inspect the tallic box, wondering what they were trying to prepare here and unfortunately, the box seed to be locked with a combination lock.

Well, that might be a problem normally but…

I pulled back my fist and punched at the box with the power armour.

The impact caused the lock to snap and the top of the box flipped open, revealing its contents.

Ries imdiately let out a squeal when she saw what was inside though my suit's cara.

"Waaahhhh!! That's the M-twenty three Rocket Launcher from Mjolnir Industries!! Its payload is a dual load of EMP and ballistic shrapnel that can disable shields and shred through armour at the sa ti!"

Thanks Ries. Guess they were planning on using this to take out our client.

"Please, please, please, Boss!! Take that with you!! I need it!!"

Yes, yes. Don't worry Ries, I will.

I pulled the top of the dented cover over the box again before I started scanning around the area to see if there were any other threats along this route.

Hmm? Wait a minute… There's another group of three people in the building on the other side of the street and one of them is holding the exact sa rocket launcher on his shoulder while resting the tube on the railing.

Before I could say anything, a shot rang out and a single sniper round pierced through the head of the guy with the rocket launcher before piercing through the throat of the guy behind him and then going through the chest of the guy right behind that guy.

"Tera, I'm moving to the next location as well," Amber reported through our comms.

Guess that ans Deviminio's group had reached the edge of her assigned location so we should already be halfway through the route by now.

So far, we've only found these two groups of people trying to assassinate the Station Administrator so if things keep up like this I think we should--

Right at that mont, Ries suddenly cried out through the comms, "Ahhh! There's a car that just ramd through one of the roadblocks, Boss! It's headed right towards the main road! Oh, they stop-- Ahhh! They're unloading a whole bunch of thugs right now! Wait… That's not all! A bunch of people just ca out from one of the buildings up ahead and are setting up so kind of roadblock! E… Eh?! Even from behind! An armoured vehicle also ramd through the roadblock! Boss! We're surrounded!"

As though that wasn't enough, Amber also added, "Tera? I'm seeing a lot of ard people moving through the alley right now… Err… There's a number of them heading directly into the building you're in right now as well. I don't think these people belong to the security team and there's so guys in power armour too…"

Sure enough, I could hear the thumping of footsteps and so shouts from people coming from the staircase behind .

Fuck, really? Did all the different groups trying to kill this guy just arrived at the sa ti?!
