That control thod was harder than I thought...
You really need to be totally focused while piloting it and if your concentration lapses for a mont, your Exo-Knight might just freeze up or collapse.
Still... That particular thod allowed a lot more freedom to control the Exo-Knight than any other control thod that was available so I decided to stick with it and try my best to master it.
It honestly was quite difficult and it sotis felt like I was trying to squeeze out a toothpaste from a nearly empty tube at tis just to move the Exo-Knight however I wanted.
I guess my brainwaves weren’t distinct enough for the machine to pick up on or sothing...
At least I managed to control it sowhat at the end of the day to a passable degree.
I could make it jump, crouch, run, roll, shoot and even ntally activate the boost while in the middle of shooting without moving any part of my body. I would call that a win.
The only downside was that if I got distracted for even a mont, it would basically an death for if I was in the middle of a fight.
It’s just a matter of practice I suppose...
Anyway, I wondered if we would be able to specify the cockpit design when purchasing our Exo-Knights? This would be kind of pointless if it turns out that we aren’t able to customise that.
By the end of the day, I managed to slip into a sort of state where I can fully concentrate on controlling the Exo-Knight. As long as I was in that state, I would be able to control the Exo-Knight like it was an extension of my body without worry.
But if I get broken out of that state, I will need to take ti to go back into that state again which would be quite detrintal in a fight.
Anyway, after spending all day in that cockpit trying and failing repeatedly, I was ready to just crash in my bed and rest.
The good thing was that I didn’t need to worry about cooking because bed and board were included in our school fees here so for the students who hitched a ride here and didn’t have a ship of their own, that was not a problem.
The even better thing was that they were actually serving organic food here that was cooked by the androids.
Now I see another reason why people might specifically choose to learn in this school.
The bad thing was that despite the food being organic... It’s still subpar as compared to what I would make.
Still, it wasn’t inedible, it’s just... h.
Plus, I was already pretty worn out after all the trial and error I made with the lesson today so I wasn’t really in a state of mind to cook.
Oh, and Mara already told that this guy was a forr instructor at a Noble Academy for Exo-Knights or sothing. Apparently he pissed off soone important in the Academy and had to run away, which also explains why he has his face hidden.
So I guess he’s actually legit.
Amber stuck her tongue out as she stared at what was supposed to be mashed potatoes in her spoon.
"Bleh... Why is this so dry? And it’s so bland too... How did they even make this?"
I chuckled, "I don’t know if I should be concerned or happy that you’ve now developed a taste for good food."
Amber grinned, "I would say happy, since this ans I’m being fed good food by you~"
Yumiko turned to , "Speaking of which, Mistress... What kind of cockpit did you create?"
"Hmm? Oh, I went for the one that you can use your brainwaves or sothing to control it."
Mara, Yumiko and Ries imdiately swivelled their heads to gape at .
Yumiko and Ries quickly moved to cover my mouth while Mara looked around in a panic, which I assud she was using her telepathy to scan the minds of everyone around her.
I imdiately understood why they were acting like that and slowly pried Yumiko’s and Ries’s hands away from my mouth.
"Don’t tell ... Those controls are only for Psionics?"
All three of them turned back to and nodded at the sa ti.
Yumiko sighed, "This is bad... We might need to purge their systems so there are no records of Mistress using those kinds of controls... Otherwise... People will know that you are a Psionic just from that."
Shit...
"There’s no need to worry~ I already took care of that~" Renata spoke rrily from my chest.
Everyone turned their gaze to look at my chest, clearly questioning what she ant by that.
"I connected myself to the machine beforehand and found the program that was supposed to track whatever Daddy does inside. So I hacked into it and just fed it false information instead~ They think Daddy is simply using a normal set of controls~"
I looked down at my chest, "Renata, I love you."
"Ehehehe~ I love you too Daddy!"
The others look relieved but Mara wasn’t satisfied yet as she leaned closer to , "That ans you’ve been using your powers haven’t you? I’m going to need to do another checkup on you when we get back to the ship."
I waved at her, "No need to worry. Renata also assured that she would help with the mind thing so there’s no problem~"
Even though Renata didn’t say anything, you could sohow feel the smugness radiating off of her from my chest.
Mara still looked skeptical about it but chose not to pursue the topic further.
"What about you girls? What controls are you using?" I asked, trying to switch the topic.
Amber grinned, "I like the classic one better with the joysticks. It feels like I’m piloting my ship which I prefer anyway~"
I get what she ans... Though I don’t think the normal joystick controls would allow for really versatile movent though... But hey, it’s her preference.
Lea shrugged, "I went for the gun mounted type. It’s better for sniping."
Oh, I think I saw that one when I was browsing through the controls. If I’m not wrong, it’s the standard controls but there’s an additional control that you can pull down that you can grab to mimic the pose of holding a rifle.
That will override the joysticks and let you control the gun that the Exo-Knight was holding directly.
The downside is that when you’re using that to control the gun, it allows for precise movents which ans that you would have trouble turning the Exo-Knight if the enemy were to try flanking you.
That definitely suits Lea who would primarily snipe her targets from long range so the drawback doesn’t really affect her.
Ries grinned, "I got the one with all the manual controls~ It’s better for if I can control everything precisely!"
Oh... Oh damn...
Just so you know, what she’s talking about was basically the control where she’s basically controlling every single part of the Exo-Knight... And the controls look more like the controls of a supercomputer with all the buttons and dials that I would most definitely have no idea on where to even start to try and command the Exo-Knight to move, much less to fight with it...
I guess... As expected of Ries?
Mara poked at the broccoli looking things on her plate idly, most of her food still untouched, "I got the ones with the gloves. That’s what I learned to use back before I left my ho."
Ah, the one where you wear a glove to control the Exo-Knight’s hands. I was thinking of using that as well if I hadn’t co across this one that allowed to use my thoughts to control it.
"I’m using the full body one," Yumiko answered curtly.
I should have seen that coming as well.
Yumiko would basically be running on an omnidirectional treadmill with sensors attached to her body allowing her to fully control the machine she was piloting with her body.
While that would allow the pilot to control it just like they would their own body, the downside was, of course, you’re basically doing a full body workout while piloting the Exo-Knight. And if you get tired while piloting it... You’re basically screwed too.
But for Yumiko... I think she could just keep running for several hours straight and still have energy to have a two hour sex session.
I say that because I’ve personally seen her do that where she was working out for quite a while before she joined in the bath and we had a really intense session there for another two hours. Her stamina is seriously inhuman...
Well, tomorrow would be testing out the cockpits we designed so we’ll see how they handle in a simulated fight I guess?
On another note... The girls barely ate any of the food here...
I guess I should just go back and cook sothing after all~
