We were shown where the ss hall was, where the recreation rooms were, the training hall, the gym, the virtual simulation room, the laboratory, the workshop, their own Archive room and finally where our rooms would be.

It seems like they split up where each staff would stay so pilots were given a specific area to sleep in while the other staff mbers of the station were also given their own area to sleep in.

I wondered why they would go this far for sothing like this until Ries whispered to that they were doing this so that the staff here are incentivised to stay.

My next question was wondering how they would prevent favouritism from happening in the workplace since a junior staff mber being in a relationship with a manager would make the manager inclined to give their lover more benefits.

According to Ries, it seems like the company was aware that such a thing could happen so they basically made it such that company couples would have to declare their relationship officially and there would be audits to their performances every year to ensure there was no bias happening.

And if the couple happened to break up, they would be moved apart to different departnts if necessary to ensure any bad blood between them does not affect the company.

I then understood that the company would rather the relationship be public knowledge to be able to control them instead of having them go behind everyone’s back and potentially ruin things.

I’m not sure if this was a better idea than outright banning it but I guess they couldn’t exactly do that considering the staff here were literally living on this station anyway.

I guess companies who want their employees to stay in places like this for long periods of ti would have to accept things like this.

With the tour concluded, we went to our rooms that were located near each other at the end of the pilot’s section of the station.

There were several other people milling around the area as well whom I assud were our fellow test pilots that we would be working alongside while we were here.

Incidentally, I didn’t see Anthony and it looks like there were at least two to three dozen other pilots here judging by the number of rooms here.

I went over to my room with Renata and the door slid open with a soft hiss, allowing us to step inside.

Taking a mont to look around the room, I suppose I should say that it wasn’t that bad.

The room was rather spacy with two beds on opposite sides and two study desks in the middle for each occupant of the room.

It kind of reminded of my old room when I was still living on board the Verlandi, except that this room doesn’t have its own kitchenette.

At least it does have an attached bathroom and shower but Theresa did show that they had a big communal bath that everyone is allowed to use and they had mixed and gendered baths as well.
