Surprisingly, neither of them bickered or fought each other during the entire conversation while they were discussing the issues I raised to the point that the interactions from earlier felt like an illusion.

"No. I realised this yesterday and it feels incredibly ironic to say this but... It seems like there’s no synthfood here..."
Yumiko nodded, "It’s harder to find synthfood in the Inner Colonies than the Outer Colonies especially when you are in developed areas like this. Synthfood is seen more like a novelty instead, though there are so places here where it’s more common."
I frowned, "Why would anyone still want to eat synthfood if there’s organic food?"
"It’s not by choice, Mistress..."
Ah... I assu she’s referring to slaves or the lower class citizens living in the Inner Colonies. They might not even be granted access to get organic food even if it’s in excess here.
Kind of ironic, really.
Well... This creates a problem for us because I would need the synthfood to make my sauces and condints which I’m not able to make if they only have organic food, which was the reason why I wanted to return back to the ship to get so.
The food stores here did not even have a single drop of synthfood and they only stocked organic ingredients. And seeing that Renata’s stash of the condints was actually her personal stash... I feel bad for dipping into it so I thought I would just get them from the ship instead.
And now that I know they really don’t have any synthfood around here... I might need to whip up a new batch of sauces too while I figure out if my stock of synthfood could last us through our ti here...
We headed back towards the hangar section of the station to get to our ship, which I was quite thankful that I did not need to pay a docking fee for.

I perked up, "Don’t suppose we could bill the cost to the company instead?"
She hesitated, "I believe you would need to discuss this with Miss Theresa instead, Mistress."
Fair enough... Maybe I’ll go talk to her later.
Right as I was going to start making the sauces, however, an alarm started sounding around , making jump in surprise.
"Renata?" I asked, looking down at my chest.
"Umm... Our sensors are picking up hostile ships warping into the system, Daddy... They appear to be insurgent ships..."
