The dealer pushed the cards forward on the table, naly the eight, nine and ten of hearts.
"Straight flush beats two pairs," The dealer announced before marking as the winner for everyone on the table to see.

If Amber was here, I might even believe that she had done sothing to help get these cards but since she’s not here... This was quite literally just pure luck.
Everyone at the table was looking at Vieretha, clearly waiting to see how she would react as she watched her buy in money disappear to reappear in front of as part of my earnings within a single round.

When we were a little further away, those guys started moving towards the three players who had tried to accuse of cheating.
I did not get to see what happened before I had turned a corner and disappeared down the side with Vieretha still leading the way.
I really wonder how she was moving through the shallow waters so easily since she was leaving barely any wake behind her as she moved forwards.
It felt almost like the water was the one pushing her forward or sothing instead of her moving her legs herself to wade through the water.
That was when I realised she was using her tail to propel her forward as it waved behind her like a propeller.
That’s cool.
I was wondering what she wanted from until she stopped at a section of the casino that was more secluded than the area that we had been in and there were clearly fewer people around as compared to the place we had been in earlier.
Vieretha then turned back to and giggled, "Ehehehe~ Hello Lady Tera~ It seems like we et again~ This must be fate, don’t you think?"

I had a feeling that soone was following us the mont we stepped inside the park but I didn’t really know who it was until now. Which ant that they had been practically standing at the entrance the entire day just to wait for us for so reason.
The Dragonling didn’t even seem upset that she was found out and rely just giggled, "Fufufu~ I make my own fates, Lady Tera~ And this encounter is certainly fated."
I’m not really sure if she was trying to insinuate that my fate was in her hands or that she just believes that she controls her own fate or sothing else entirely.

She smiled at before she suddenly waded forward and got into my personal space, the Dragonling looking up at with a sparkle in her eyes.
The kind of sparkle that you might see when a predator has caught its prey and was preparing to devour it.

I blinked at her, wondering what this was about.

I decided to be a little honest with her, "I would say you are a beautiful and charming woman who knows what she wants and you’re not afraid of doing what you need to get what you want."
I intentionally left out the part where I thought that she was also a little scary and I’m worried that she might use her connections to make disappear or sothing.
