We left the inn and I did notice that so of the patrons pointed in our direction and whispered to their companions who had just arrived but from the looks of things, it doesn’t look like they were saying sothing malicious.

By how they were smiling, I think they were telling them that I dealt with the karen party or sothing and they were celebrating that fact.

We walked through the streets of the city and on the way, we had to pass through the market.

Since it was already midday, the place was pretty packed with people selling and buying stuff all around.

There were multiple different stalls, all of them selling a variety of different things and the atmosphere around was quite boisterous with custors haggling with stall owners and touters calling out to passers-by.

This wasn’t the first ti we passed through here so I wasn’t looking around like a first ti tourist, but I was still interested in what they were selling so I did glance at the stuff being sold as we passed by.

It was only when I passed by a food stall that was selling so kind of baked bun did I rember I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast and my stomach growled a little.

I turned to look at my Inugami maid, "Are you hungry, Katsuki?"

She lowered her head slightly, "Not at all, Mistress. Please go ahead."

I went up to the stall and bought ten of them anyway, preparing to share it with her.

It was pretty cheap too, with each bun at only two Decreas.

I reached into the paper bag and handed one to her which she received gratefully with a deep bow before taking one for myself as I munched on it.

We continued out of the market and reached the Guild building, the both of us heading inside with munching on another of those baked buns while Katsuki still held on to the one I gave her.

"Are you not going to eat that?" I asked as I pushed open the door.

"I will in a while, Mistress."

Maybe she was actually serious about her not being hungry? I thought she was just saying that out of consideration for ...

Oh well...

I continued munching on the bun in my hand while I approached the Request board at the side of the Guild.

Unlike the last ti I was here, the place was already full of life with the Guild mbers mingling around and of course, a few of them outright just having sex.

Even the Guild staff were looking more lively as they interacted with the Guild mbers that were reporting their Request completion to them.

Because of that, no one actually noticed our presence until I stood in front of the Request board to join several other rcenaries looking for a job.

While I chewed on the bun, the guy beside nudged his friend and whispered, "Hey... Isn’t that..."

"Huh? Her? Nah... Sure the hair colour is the sa but her face looks different."

Hmm? Not sure who they thought I was but I’m busy scanning the Requests on the board while I was stuffing my mouth with another bun I pulled out from the bag I was carrying.

Let’s see... I’m not really looking for anything in particular so it’s not like I need a job right now. This is just scouting out the place to see what kind of Requests are being offered here.

The two guys beside were still whispering though...

"Wait... That maid behind her..."

I had only just swallowed the bun in my mouth when the loud gasp ca from the guy beside , prompting to turn in his direction to see what he was shouting about.

But just as I turned, I found Katsuki standing in front of , her hand grabbing onto the guy’s wrist and pulling it to the side.

The first thing I noticed however, was that the bun I gave her was gone. She must have eaten it while I was looking at the Request board huh?

"Please do not point your finger at my Mistress," Katsuki requested before letting go of that guy.

The rcenary seed to still be in shock as he was looking down at his hand for about a minute before he finally recovered.

In the anti, I just wordlessly handed Katsuki another bun from within the paper bag.

"Ah! It’s really you!! Everyone!! It’s her!! It’s her!!" The guy suddenly shouted.

As if a flip had been switched, everyone suddenly scrambled for their seats, all of them sitting down almost imdiately with their heads lowered and averting their gaze from the Guild’s entrance.

Heck, even the Guild staff had also quickly lowered their heads just so that they could hide their faces from being seen.

The guy who shouted beside clucked his tongue, "No! Not them! It’s our saviour! Our saviour!!"

Everyone in the Guild swivelled around to see standing in front of the Request board and I was just so surprised with the sudden switch in atmosphere that I was just standing there with my bun in my hand.

There was a mont of silence as we just stared at each other before the door creaked from soone else entering the Guild.

That set off everyone else as the entire crowd rushed towards like a tidal wave, surrounding in an instant.

I think they would have gotten even closer to had Katsuki not stepped in front of and blocked their way. Despite that though, all of them were still cheering and shouting in my direction excitedly.

"It’s really the saviour!!"

"The one who got rid of those nasty won!!"

"Our saviour is here!!"

"Are you here for a Request? We’ll help you do it!"

"Yeah! Is that bun nice? Hurry! Soone go and buy as many as you can!"

"Hey! Let buy you a few rounds of drinks too! Co on over!"

Err... What’s going on here? I thought they would regard Ather as their saviour instead of since she was the one that beat the karens in front of them didn’t they?

Even during the duel, they wouldn’t have seen how we were slapping them since Ather had sped up ti for us which ant they only saw the karens suddenly falling to the ground and wouldn’t have any idea what happened.

So why the heck are they calling a saviour?!

One of the rcenaries pushed his way to the front of the crowd and waved a paper in front of him, "Miss!! Please! Would you sign this for ?!"

Curious, I peeked over Katsuki’s shoulder to see what was on the paper.

The mont I saw it, I instantly knew what caused this scene to happen...

And when I looked up, I realised that he wasn’t the only one who had this because several others behind him were also waving similar looking pieces of paper as well...

On the paper was a sketch of in the midst of slapping Karen and the way it was drawn told there was only one person in this World who could draw sothing like this...

Ather?!! Did you sketch a whole bunch of pictures of during our duel with Karen and then went around distributing them?!
