Now reading: Chapter 1139: Shippo Village from What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?, a Adventure novel by Draekai.

We continued our ’escort’ of Albert’s group to Shippo Village and it was honestly surprisingly uneventful during the entire trip.

Also, I ca to learn that the tropolitan Nekomatas in Albert’s group were basically his harem mbers which honestly did not surprise .

And ironically, the Nomad group was also just a harem group surrounding the leader of that group which was the sa girl who had been shouting at the beginning when we first t them.

As if that wasn’t enough... The rcenary group of two guys and two girls were basically two pairs of couples who decided to adventure together... And all four of them are also sharing each other as well.

The only reason why I knew all this was because on the next rest stop, I found the Nekomatas having sex outside their camp out in the open and the four rcenaries having a fourso inside the next trading post that night.

So yes... Basically this entire group was just three different harem groups and one polyamorous group journeying together...

What were the chances, am I right?

And yeah, the initial reason for their disagreent was that the Nomad Nekomata was making it hard for the tropolitan Nekomatas to flirt while travelling.

So anyway... We managed to reach the village without anything else happening which was nice.

I thought the village would be built in a clearing where they would have to cut down several trees to make space for it, but apparently that was not the case.

They intentionally built their houses in the spaces between the trees and even made use of the trees as part of the walls to protect their village.

Seems like whoever founded this city picked this place quite strategically, though I wonder what they did to stop monsters from attacking?

My question was quickly answered when I spotted what looked like charms stuck to the trunks of the trees around the outer periter of the village.

I’m guessing those must be enchanted to repel monsters to protect the village, though the fact that they still posted people on top of the wooden walls as lookouts must an they weren’t completely flawless. Or maybe they are worried about bandits which would not be affected by those charms.

As we reached the gates of the village that was being watched by a single bored looking male Nekomata, he perked up the mont he saw Albert.

"Albert! It’s been a while!" The guard greeted.

Albert waved back, "Hey, it has, hasn’t it? How’s your wife and kids?"

"Oh you know, she’s still the sa as always. My daughter will be having her coming of age soon and she wants to make her a woman so we would be doing it next week."

"Oh that’s nice. And your son?"

"Oh yes, he already turned eighteen last year, rember? He also asked to have his coming of age with his mother so they already did the deed last year."

What in all that is holy am I even hearing?

Ok, I know, I know... This is sothing that is normal to them... But hearing them talk about it so naturally is sothing else...

I turned back to look at my girls and none of them even showed any reaction to what they just heard except for Delmare who was hiding her face with her hands.

Ah, that’s good. I was worried that I might be the only one who was feeling that way. Headpats for you, Delmare!

The guard finally noticed the people behind Albert and whistled, "Wow... Did you expand your harem or sothing?"

No one else managed to speak up before the Nomad Nekomata hissed at him, "As if we would even think about sleeping with a city pet like him. Get that thought out of your head."

That obviously outed her as a Nomad Nekomata if the clothes wasn’t a big enough giveaway already and the guard scowled at her before turning to Albert.

"I didn’t know you associated yourself with savages."

Oh geez, so even villages like these are considered tropolitan areas?

Albert smiled wryly at the guard, "It’s just a temporary partnership for business... Please don’t make it hard for ..."

"Hmm... What about them? Escorts?"

"Ah... The group over there, yes," He explained, gesturing to the rcenaries before waving at . "And that is my benefactor and her party. We almost got hunted down by a horde of Frostearth Thunder Bears but they ca just in ti to save us from them."

"Frostearth Thunder Bears?! And a horde of them?! I’m surprised you’re still alive!"

"Indeed, that’s why I said they are my benefactors."

"Well, any friend of Albert’s a friend of mine! Co on in then!" The guard beckoned.

Albert also waved us through so we followed the group to walk past the gates, the rchant taking a mont to promise the guard he would catch up with him later and to save so of his wares for him to purchase before following us.

We walked a bit further before stopping to turn back to Albert.

He ca up to and stretched out his hand to , "I suppose this would be where we part ways as well, Lady Aster. Once again, thank you for the help."

I touched it lightly, "It’s not a big deal. Do be careful on your way to the capital, Albert."

"Of course. Will you be staying in this village for long?"

"Perhaps just for the night, why?"

"Ah, that’s a sha. I do intend to stay here for a few days to peddle my wares a little so if you were also staying here for a few days, we might still run into each other. I guess this is farewell then?"

I nodded, "It does seem like it. Good luck with your sales."

"And you as well, Lady Aster."

He turned and led his group down another path, leaving us on our own again.

I turned back to my girls, "Right, I guess the first thing we should do is look for an inn?"

Emilia then pointed down the road at a specific building, "I believe that is one, Boss."

Eh? How did she... Oh, there’s literally a signboard there with the word ’inn’ painted on it.

I led my group to the building and walked through the open doorway.

Just like the trading posts, they had an area in front of the doorway for you to take off your shoes before you enter the lobby so we took a mont to do just that before approaching the counter.

There, seated behind it, was another male Nekomata who had not noticed our presence the entire ti as he was completely absorbed in the book he was reading.

I cleared my throat and the guy jumped in surprise before hurriedly getting up to his feet.

"Ah! Custors! Forgive ! It’s been a while since visitors ca here! You’re planning to stay here, right? How many--"

He suddenly stopped when he saw Emilia and his smile disappeared.

Err... He’s not going to say that she’s a Nomad or sothing and kick her out, right?

"Bo... Boss?" The guy muttered.

Eh?

Emilia clucked her tongue at him, "Yes, it’s . What is it? Is it a problem that I’m here?"

"No! No! Please accept my apologies, boss! I wasn’t expecting you to show up! Please forgive !"

I turned back to her, "What’s going on?"

She gestured around her, "This is one of our businesses, Boss. We own this place."

The guy behind the counter let out a gasp, "You... You’re Lady Aster?! Ahhhh!! Please forgive for my earlier rudeness!!"

He bowed so quickly that he actually slamd his head on the counter with a loud bang and with enough force that it left a dent on the counter.

I watched as the guy recoiled from the hit and fell backwards to land on the floor, unmoving.

The guy actually knocked himself out cold.

Err... Isn’t that too big of a reaction? Why the heck did he react like that?

Emilia sighed and face pald, "Perhaps I should have told them that we might be passing through... Whatever... I was hoping to surprise you, Boss, but I did make several investnts here and there and started different businesses."

I nodded slowly, "Uh huh... I was aware of that... Though I don’t know what exactly you were investing in... Since I told you that you could do whatever you wanted with the money I gave you..."

"And I am forever grateful for that. One of the businesses I started are inns that have been built around here, Boss. So technically, you are the owner of this place."

Ah... So basically to that guy, the CEO just popped in to visit and found him slacking off... No wonder he was panicking like that.

Well, he didn’t even need to worry anyway, it’s not like I’m the kind of person who would fire soone over sothing so trivial.

"How many businesses did you start up?" I asked.

She smiled at sheepishly, "A number~ I made sure to dip our fingers in as many industries as we could. Want to list them?"

"Err... It’s ok. I trust you to handle that."

Anyway... I guess I should heal this guy up and ask him for rooms for tonight then...
