I thought we would be heading back to the training room again but the Queen quickly shot him down.

"Hisami... Need I remind you of where we are right now?" The Queen asked in a deceptively soft voice.

The Prince actually froze up before he slowly sat back down on his cushion again.

Right then, the maid returned again, this ti with a tray in her hands which I already knew was filled with sweets before she even announced it.

The Queen rely gave her a nod and she stepped towards us, sitting down on her knees to balance the tray in one hand before she placed the plates of sweets in front of us.

It seems like they were made so that each person had a plate each.

On the plate was an assortnt of different sweets of different colours and shapes, each of them looking really delicious.

My mouth was already watering at the sight of them but I managed to hold myself back as the maid gestured towards each of the sweets in turn.

"The first one is a sweet that’s made with a type of bean crushed into paste mixed together to be made into a type of jelly. The second one here is a sweet that was made with a special sugar that was made using the nectar of flowers from--"

Katsuki interrupted her, "It’s fine. You do not need to tell us about it. Mistress will be able to tell what they are just by tasting it."

Err... I don’t know what made you think that I would know what they are just by the taste but honestly, I’m glad that I can skip her telling what they are so I can get right to eating the sweets!

The maid bowed her head before getting back up and leaving the room.

I quickly picked up the chopsticks that had been laid beside the plate and picked up one of the sweets on the plate to bring it to my mouth.

Waaaahhh!! It’s so sweet!! So soft!! It feels like it just lted in my mouth!!

There’s a slight bit of sourness to it which I believe ca from the beans that were made into paste which the maid was talking about but instead of clashing with the sweetness, the sourness enhanced the flavour instead!

The next one I stuffed into my mouth kind of looked like rice crackers and when I bit into it, it definitely had the crunchiness of one~

The white stuff that had been sprinkled on top turned out to be powdered sugar with bits of what tasted like caral sprinkled on top.

Just taking one bite of it would make you want to take another bite!

I quickly moved to the next sweet and this one was three rubbery balls on a stick that had different colours on them.

Popping the first one that was red in colour into my mouth, the taste of berries imdiately exploded in my mouth as soon as I bit into the ball.

These balls must be filled with fruit syrup stuffed into them that would flow out the mont you bite them! And the different colours definitely ant they were different fillings!

Ahhhh!! They’re all so good!!

But I have to admit that Eldoria’s sweets still taste better though~

Still, this is so good!!

I fully imrsed myself in the sweets tasting and before I knew it, my plate was completely empty and I was sucking on the tips of the chopsticks to get all the sweetness off of it before I finally set it down.

Ahhhh~ That was so good~

I then realised that not only was Prince Hisami staring at , even the Queen was also looking at with a face of amusent.

"Were the sweets to your liking, Lady Aster?" She asked.

I nodded enthusiastically, "They were all really good, Queen Asami! Please give my complints to the chef!"

"Fufu~ They would be very happy to hear that you enjoyed their sweets, Lady Aster. Would you like so tea?"

She placed a cup of warm tea in front of and I bowed my head to thank her before I raised the cup with both hands and took a sip from it.

The mont the liquid touched my lips, I realised that this tasted sweet as well.

There was tea and... Honey? It tastes like she had mixed honey into the tea and maybe... A little bit of lemon? Is this just honey lemon tea?!

The things that she was crushing earlier must have been lemons or sothing!

I definitely did not expect to see fruit tea here but hey! I’m not going to complain! This is delicious!

The Queen interrupted my thoughts, "I see the tea was to your liking, Lady Aster?"

I nodded, "I can understand that. It’s neither too sweet or bitter and you can pair this with a main course or even a dessert if you want. You can even just drink it on its own and the after taste it leaves is also not too overpowering that would be too distracting as well."

The Prince jerked in surprise from being called, "Huh?! Ah! Yes, Mother!"

I turned in her direction, trying to see if I could make a guess on what she was talking about but Katsuki was in between us and she might have gotten the wrong idea because my Inugami maid imdiately slid her plate to .

The Queen clapped her hands together and the slid open, revealing a whole bunch of maids with even more trays that were all piled high with different varieties of sweets.

I didn’t even wait this ti and just devoured the sweets that were placed in front of as soon as they appeared.

Everything was so good!! Even the tea tasted so good!!

When the last of the sweets finally made its way down my throat, I leaned back to enjoy the afterglow of the sweetness that I just experienced.

Accepting this invitation may be the best decision I’ve made while I was here~

The Queen chuckled, "Fufufu~ I’m glad that the sweets were to your tastes, Lady Aster. It seems like what I heard about Lady Aster liking sweets are true~"

Katsuki wiped my mouth with a handkerchief and I noticed that despite my plate being empty, the others still had sweets on their plates and they were still eating them slowly.

Heck, Prince Hisami barely even touched the sweets that were in front of him and he seed to be more focused on looking in my direction for so reason.
