Sherry and lanin were still standing nearby at attention, waiting for my instructions.

"I thought you girls went to get backup?" I asked, rembering those were my instructions when I separated with them earlier.

"We did, Young Mistress," lanin answered before gesturing towards a specific direction. "There's about fifty of us gathered there. We would have rushed in but we found you sitting here so we thought we would approach to assess the situation first. Do you still need us?"

Woah… If I'm not wrong, they left for barely five minutes and they managed to gather that many people so quickly? Just how many of our maids are around here?

I scratched my cheek, "Well… Umm… Sorry to waste your ti then. Since I managed to deal with him already."

I waved my hand at her, "It's ok, I was the one who insisted on staying in the first place."

Sherry tilted her head slightly, "What will you do now, Young Mistress?"

lanin pulled out sothing from behind her back and I realised that it was my Pack of Folding.

"We already got that from the inn for you, Young Mistress. We also made sure that the two rcenaries that were rooming with you were dealt with as well."

I froze, "Wait… Dealt with? You didn't kill them did you?"

"Not at all, Young Mistress. Unless you want us to?"

I shook my head quickly in a panic, "No, no, no! That's definitely not what I want! I'm… Err… Just wondering what you ant by 'dealt with'?"

Sherry and lanin were giving Eins odd looks but I didn't really want to explain it so I just flew back towards the town.

As I flew over it, I realised the town was currently in an uproar for so reason.

I hid my presence with [Shadow Wall] and dove towards the area where the biggest crowd was gathered. It seems like quite a number of locals were in the midst of hearing out a few guards calling them to order.

"Everyone! We have already dispatched scouts to survey the location of the explosion! Please arrange yourselves in an orderly fashion in case we need to evacuate the town!"

Ah… Whoops… The explosion they were talking about must be the bomb or whatever that lanin threw at the Off-Worlder just now that threw up a giant mushroom cloud…

Oh well… I'm sure that once that scout team returns from surveying that crater, they should deduce that there was nothing wrong and things should go back to normal.

Just in case, I'll tell lanin and Sherry to do sothing about it to prevent a full blown panic.

As for … I'm just going to search for Linette now…

It took a while since almost everyone was outside on the streets but I figured Linette should be near the inn she was staying at instead of wandering sowhere else, especially when her wagons were all located there.

Sure enough, I found her as well as ela's party all gathered in an open courtyard near the inn with others whom I assu were also patrons of the inn and residents from the nearby buildings. Most of them were in their pyjamas, but ela's party was actually fully equipped like they were ready for a fight.

I then rembered ela had wanted to keep watch since they expected the Off-Worlder to target them which might explain why.

I landed in the shadow of an alley nearby before I used [Shadow Glide] to sneak my way into the crowd.

I headed straight for Linette who was standing in between Heather and ela before releasing my spell when I was behind her.

"Hello there."

All three girls spun around in surprise.

"Miss Aster! You surprised !" The rchant gasped. "What are you doing here? The explosion was caused by you right?"

I scratched my cheek, "Err… Kind of I guess? It's a result of my fight with him if that was what you were asking."

"Does that an you managed to subdue him?" ela asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, beat him up and also freed the people he was controlling. Apparently he was making use of an artefact to control people so after I broke it, it freed everyone."

"That's great news! Ah, does that an you're leaving already?"

I nodded, "I'll be taking him back to… Err… To my client. So I'll be parting ways with you here. I only ca back to say goodbye and to let you know that the explosion the town is freaking out about is nothing to worry about."

She nodded, "It's a sha that our reunion turned out like this. If you have the ti, won't you co and pay a visit? I'll brew you so tea."

I shrugged, "If I'm in the area. Where will you be headed after this?"

"After my stop at Dragon View Trade City, I have business in the capital so I would be heading there via ship."

"Oh, I'm currently staying there actually. I think Katsuki would also like to et with you if given the chance. You could find at the Aerialla Academy there."

She stretched her hand to , "I will, Miss Aster. Please take care of yourself."

I shook her hand, "You too, Linette."

I then gave Heather and ela a nod before opening a portal with [Link Portal] to teleport up into the air before I started to fly back to where I had left the Off-Worlder.

When I landed, I was a little surprised to see that the idiot had new bruises on his face and I think his right arm and both his legs were broken.

Eins was standing with a foot placed on his stomach while Sherry and lanin were standing a short distance away from them.

"What happened?"

"He tried to do sothing, Master," Eins answered as a matter of factly.

I waited to see if she would explain further but she did not say anything else.

Umm… Ok, I'll just leave it at that… Let's just heal him up and then… Ermm… Oh wait… How am I supposed to get back to the King?

I turned to lanin, "Are you girls able to contact Mary?"

The maid opened her mouth before freezing up, her eyes widening.

It wasn't just her as Sherry's eyes were also slowly getting just as wide as hers.

I was just about to ask what they were doing when a voice ca from behind .

"You were looking for , Young Mistress?"

I spun around and there she was, our Trasif Head Maid standing just an arm's length away from like she had been there the entire ti.

I pouted at her, "Ok, you can't tell that you haven't been following the entire ti. Or are you telling that Mother once again predicted that I would have caught the guy at this exact ti and told you to co pick up?"

Mary smiled at , "It is a little incorrect, Young Mistress. The Madam had been asking to check on you at specific intervals. This just happened to be one of those intervals."

Yeah… If that was true, I would be enjoying so sweets right now. Mother definitely got Mary to stalk the entire ti…

"Cookie, Young Mistress?" Mary offered, materialising a cookie out of thin air.
