Anyway… We're having close combat classes today again and today was a little different. We would be going to the Dungeon today with the class.

Naturally, Odeta and I were expected to act as chaperones instead of joining as participants ourselves, considering the fact that the Dungeon we were going to was an easy one.

Incidentally, instead of the Dungeon below the school, we were going to another one this ti.

Also, weirdly enough, Odeta didn't make a fuss about being placed in another group as their guardian.

In fact, she seed quite happy that she was in a different group than I was.

I would have thought she got tired of following around if not for the fact that I overheard her telling her group mbers, "Hey~ Wanna hear more stories about how aweso Aster is?!"

I'm guessing that's what they did to the rest of the school… And Odeta was planning to tell more about my past to them…

I also believe Instructor Henry had done this on purpose because I was grouped up with those boys who had wanted to fight for Odeta before.

"Alright, is everyone properly grouped up? Make sure each of your groups have at least a guardian following you!" Instructor Henry called out after gathering us in front of the Dungeon.

I looked around the clearing that we were standing outside of.

This was actually a D ranked Dungeon which obviously was too hard for any of the students to tackle by themselves under normal circumstances.

But apparently for this Dungeon, the top five floors were closer to F and E ranked Dungeons so we were expected to just stay within those levels.

Still, that's not to say that there was no danger involved.

That's why there were parties of Dungeoneers that would be accompanying each group that we had been split into.

Heck, even Odeta's group had another D ranked Dungeoneer following her who, judging by her equipnt, should be a mage.

But I'm the only one who didn't have another Dungeoneer following my group.

I'm not sure if this was a jab at or it was just Instructor Henry's way of showing that he trusts .

I'll just go with the latter…

"Alright! If everyone is all properly grouped up, you may enter the Dungeon now. Rember the ti limit! Return here before evening or else you will be considered as lost and penalised for it! Guardians, do your best to help guide them but keep the interventions to a minimum!"

The class let out a chorus of affirmatives before we started to enter the Dungeon.

Haddock, the leader of the group of boys, started leading us towards the entrance of the Dungeon, none of them even saying a word to .

With the five of them, I believe the top five floors shouldn't really be a problem for them so I wasn't expecting this to be a difficult Dungeon dive.

As my group descended the stairs, we realised that the group in front and behind us disappeared into the darkness and by the ti we reached the bottom, we were alone.

I guess this Dungeon had an effect where it would teleport any group that enters into different parts of a floor so we won't start out at the sa location each ti.

That's most likely why we were allowed to just go in with everyone else at the sa ti.

The boys crowded around Haddock.

"Where should we go, leader?"

"We have to do better than everyone else!"

"Let's look for so monsters!"

Haddock looked at the passage that led to the left and right of us but before he could even decide, there was a low squeak coming from the left.

We turned to see a Dungeon Rat staring at us.

Yep… This floor was basically an F rank Dungeon for sure…

The boys quickly drew their weapons and arranged themselves behind their leader, all of them facing the monster in front of them without fear.

Oh? That's interesting…

For my classmates, I rember that even after training for a long ti, they were still understandably nervous and panicky when they were fighting against their first monster.

Heck, I rember that I was pretty much the sa as well for my case when I went to hunt with Mother for the first ti.

But looking at these boys, they were facing the monster without fear, which ant that they most likely had done this before.

I guess they must have gone out to hunt monsters on their own before.

Well, I guess this would be a good chance for to watch how they fight.

The Dungeon rat let out a shriek before it charged towards the boys while I stood behind them.

Haddock raised his sword right as the rat lunged at him, catching the rat's claws with his blade and halting its advance.

The two boys beside him slashed their swords quickly, their blades leaving a deep gash in the monster's side and drawing blood.

The Dungeon Rat let out a shriek of pain and tried to retreat, only to realise that the last two boys had cut off its retreat by moving behind it.

Both of them stabbed their swords into the monster's back, preventing it from running away even as it tried to shake itself free.

Haddock took the role of delivering the coup de grace as he slashed his sword at the monster's head, splitting open its skull and killing it.

The Dungeon Rat wobbled for a mont before it collapsed on the ground, dead.

Hmm… Not bad I would say.

More because of their teamwork than anything else. They didn't even need to communicate with one another and they already knew what their role was in dealing with a monster like this, suggesting that they have definitely done this before.

Heck, I was expecting them to start celebrating after the win but they still maintained their combat stance as though expecting more enemies to show up.

When nothing happened for a while, they finally relaxed.

Yep, definitely experienced.

Haddock then sheathed his sword, "Let's move on then."

That was the part where I frowned.

"Hold on… Are you not going to harvest it?" I asked, gesturing to the Dungeon Rat.

Haddock turned to narrow his eyes at , "Harvest it? Harvest what? We're not going to eat monster at. Don't you know that you can't eat them because of the mana they contain?"

I rolled my eyes, "I'm talking about the Mana Crystal inside it. Are you not going to get it? If you aren't, it's a waste of effort to kill it, you know?"

All of them looked at like I had grown a second head.
