Ye Yu shot Bai Qingsong a sidelong glance. Is that what you’re upset about? he thought.
“Truly no good? Then nineteen! Let’s renegotiate!”
While Bai Qingsong was busy scrambling to save his own neck, the demons below had already begun to quarrel. Having just conquered an Immortal Sect, the demon clans of Dong Yao Zhou and Lianhua Zhou had poured in together and were now bickering over the sect’s Treasure Pavilion, on the verge of bloodshed.
Hovering above, Ye Yu and Bai Qingsong both noticed the commotion. Ye Yu’s lips curved in a faint smile; Bai Qingsong’s expression turned grave.
“Bastards,” Bai Qingsong muttered under his breath, you dare to blindside at a ti like this? You want dead?
“Demon Lord Ye, this is a minor matter—I’ll handle it imdiately!”
With a flash, Bai Qingsong dove down and landed among the disputing demons. He wrenched the two groups apart.
The demons of Dong Yao Zhou, spotting their lord, grew even more brazen. One rushed forward: “Reporting, Lord—the demons from Lianhua Zhou were utterly unreasonable. They charged in and tried to seize our—”
Before he could finish, Bai Qingsong delivered a sharp slap across his face. The crack of impact echoed through ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) the courtyard.
The demon reeled, incredulous. “Brother, I’m your confidant! You slapped without even asking why—did you think about how that would affect my loyalty?”
At that mont, Ye Yu descended to the scene, regard dripping with amusent.
Bai Qingsong stiffened, forcing himself to speak in a cold voice. “Return all of the resources to the Lianhua Zhou demons. We are allies—why fight? We should be united, understand?”
Silence fell. “Be united”? No demon lord had ever preached such nonsense.
And yet, the Dong Yao demons rembered, before we ca to the Heaven Realm, he told us to seize everything, to crush the Lianhua Zhou underfoot! What changed?
Outraged, they demanded, “My Lord, you are the Demon Lord of Dong Yao Zhou! How can you side with outsiders?”
Bai Qingsong’s face darkened further. Damn it, I’m not siding with them—if I fall, I fall! Do you think I’m less aware of what’s at stake? But such truths could not be uttered. As he struggled for an explanation, Ye Yu’s voice rang out.
“Indeed—you are the Demon Lord of Dong Yao Zhou. You cannot side with outsiders. How about this: you and I fight. Whoever wins claims all resources of this Immortal Sect. Deal?”
Ye Yu’s words, amplified by his magic, carried to every demon present. A roar of approval rose up.
“That’s more like it! Real demons settle matters with force—no more idle chatter!”
“Why drag this out like won?” shouted the demon who’d been slapped. He recalled what Bai Qingsong once told him in the Demon Realm: Once you get the chance, kill Ye Yu and take everything for Dong Yao Zhou.Well, here’s your chance!
“Charge, Lord!”
Bai Qingsong’s face flickered between green and white. “Demon Lord Ye, we don’t need this delay—just keep all the treasure for yourselves!”
Backing away at speed, Bai Qingsong sounded panicked. Ye Yu strolled forward, mocking, “How can I accept that? A duel—it’ll be quick!”
Bai Qingsong broke into a sprint. “Are you trying to kill ?!” he yelled.
Ye Yu matched his pace. “Not kill—just a friendly spar. We’ll stop when it’s enough. Agreed?”
“No!” Bai Qingsong roared and lunged to flee—but it was already too late.
In a blur, Ye Yu clenched his fist. Dark runes snaked up his arm. He unleashed a single, devastating punch.
Bai Qingsong fell instantly. The duel was over before anyone could react.
Ye Yu’s grin lted into a rueful expression. What now? I didn’t expect his body to be so fragile—he really died from one hit. My bad... I hope everyone can forgive .
The demons of Dong Yao Zhou stood in stunned silence. Forgive him? Our lord was one-shotted—how could we not forgive?
By contrast, the demons of Lianhua Zhou erupted into triumphant cheers, their shouts shaking the Heaven Realm.
In the hours that followed, Ye Yu was not idle. He hunted down every Demon Lord he could find—except Ling Qiansha. When the slaughter was done, the system’s voice resounded in his mind:
“Host has eradicated multiple Demon Lords. Reward: title Demon Lord Hunter. Future duels against Demon Lords grant 10% power!”
Ye Yu frowned. Damn—it’s just a title, not cultivation. And with no Demon Lords left... what good is it? Then he rembered: Ling Qiansha was still alive, though it was unclear if their battle had concluded.

As Ye Yu pondered, he sensed several powerful auras approaching. Turning north, he saw a lone figure racing toward him, trailed by three Immortal Kings. It was the envoy Xu Nanqiao—whom he had t twice before.
“Save !”
Ye Yu raised an eyebrow. Why is she begging ? Doesn’t she know Bai Qingsong died by my hand?
In truth, Xu Nanqiao already knew her puppet lord had been slain by Ye Yu. But now her aura was locked by three Immortal Kings—no escape. With no other hope, she looked to Ye Yu.
