"Who can prove what you said?" Sha Chu asked.
"Beauty, I was hiding underground eavesdropping. How am I supposed to find evidence for you? But I can swear, I truly heard it. If I’m speaking nonsense, let be struck by lightning and die a terrible death..."
As Jiuxiao Yun was swearing, Li Xiu and Sha Chu’s eyes widened, and their pupils contracted.
Beneath the waters of Kerun Lake, a massive shadow was gradually erging, and Jiuxiao Yun was right at the center of it.
"If I’m lying, let die without a burial place." Jiuxiao Yun swore, growing more venomous.
Just as he finished speaking, a swishing sound was heard, and the surrounding lake water surged like ocean waves, as if sothing underneath was parting the water and coming up.
Jiuxiao Yun was startled, looked down, and imdiately realized sothing was wrong. He dashed out of the water with a powerful leap.
Right beneath Jiuxiao Yun, a mouth full of fangs and sharp teeth broke through the water’s surface. That enormous mouth was so large that Jiuxiao Yun was no bigger than a popsicle in its presence.
In mid-air, Jiuxiao Yun had already summoned the Demon Shark. As the Demon Shark appeared above him, Jiuxiao Yun grabbed onto its tail fin, and the Demon Shark carried him skyward, narrowly avoiding the demonic spirit’s bite.
Li Xiu and Sha Chu saw the full form of the demonic spirit that leapt from the water. It was entirely transparent, resembling an octopus yet incredibly large, with transparent fangs and talons akin to a wild beast.
Its body was transparent, its tentacles covered in suction cups that glowed with a blue light. Inside its head was a luminescent organ, blinking with a blue glow.
It missed Jiuxiao Yun by a hair’s breadth, and as it began to fall, the tentacles covered in suction cups suddenly curled upwards, attaching to the Demon Shark’s body, wrapping around it rapidly. The eight tentacles tightly bound the Demon Shark like a zongzi.
The Demonic Light on the Demon Shark burst forth, black light shot out from the gaps in the tentacles, indicating it had entered the Super Spirit State.
Yet the eight-tentacled demonic spirit clung tightly to the Demon Shark, its suction cups tightening, its body bursting with blue light, simultaneously entering the Super Spirit State.
"Super Spirit!" Li Xiu and Sha Chu exclaid in shock, not expecting to encounter a Super Spirit so soon.
Sha Chu was even more alard, having been to Kerun Lake before. Luckily, this Super Spirit hadn’t erged back then, or it would have been deadly for her.
Plop!
The Demon Shark, seemingly overwheld, fell from the sky, once again plunging into Kerun Lake, creating water splashes several ters high.
In the water, the blue and black lights intertwined and flashed, making Kerun Lake shimr as if lit by disco lights.
Li Xiu seized the opportunity, commanding the Jedi Knight to unleash a Blood Light Slash into the water.
Blood Light Slashes struck the demonic spirit’s tentacles, causing the demonic spirit to flinch in pain, and a few tentacles loosened slightly.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Jiuxiao Yun retracted the Demon Shark, leaping into the air again, summoning the Demon Shark to ride it skyward.
The demonic spirit leapt out of the water again, its tentacles lashing out. The entire Demon Shark radiated black light, turning its body into what seed like a black diamond. It swung its tail to knock away several of the demonic spirit’s tentacles, but its body was entangled again by a few blue-light-filled tentacles.
Fortunately, this ti only three tentacles wrapped around it, failing to strip it of flight ability. The Demon Shark pulled the demonic spirit up, flying out of the boundaries of Keb Lake.
More tentacles curled in, and the Demon Shark hadn’t flown far before it fell out of the air.
This ti, however, it crashed not into the lake but onto the grassland.
Li Xiu ordered the Jedi Knight to charge and attack the demonic spirit with relentless Blood Light Slashes, continuously making slits on the demonic spirit’s tentacles, seeping with a liquid illuminated with blue fluorescence.
The Demon Shark struggled desperately to escape the tentacular confinent, but the more it struggled, the tighter the grip beca, weakening the Demonic Light on its body.
Li Xiu was surprised to notice that the Demonic Light on the Demon Shark was being transmitted into the demonic spirit through the suction cups.
"Damn, this demonic spirit can actually absorb Light Energy from other demonic spirits!" Li Xiu was shocked, becoming even more cautious in controlling the Jedi Knight.
He ensured that the demonic spirit’s tentacles didn’t touch the Jedi Knight, to prevent it from also absorbing the Light Energy from the Jedi Knight.
Jiuxiao Yun leaped down from the Demon Shark’s back, rolled on the ground, and upon getting up, threw a crystal needle at the demonic spirit.
The needle pierced the Demon Shark, embedding itself while radiating a crystalline light, making the demonic spirit shudder in pain.
Just as Jiuxiao Yun thought he had succeeded, he saw the demonic spirit extend a tentacle, wrapping around the exposed part of the crystal needle. Utilizing the suction cup’s force, it absorbed the Light Energy from within the crystal needle.
Jiuxiao Yun’s face turned pale, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
The needle was his Symbiotic Contract; with its damage, his body was also hard.
He tried to retract the crystal needle, but it was firmly held by the tentacle, continuously draining its Light Energy.
Li Xiu finally understood why, even though the Demon Shark was a Super Spirit, it was so difficult to escape once entangled by this demonic spirit.
