"That bastard is trying to wipe us out all at once!" Lao Qian exclaid in horror, looking at the Light Sabers piercing through the ceiling like sunlight through holes.
A group of elderly researchers and Professor Xu exchanged glances and then all turned their eyes to Xin Guan.
Xin Guan said calmly, "Then let that ignorant barbarian witness the power of technology."
Upon hearing Xin Guan’s words, the old n eagerly started moving, slowly pushing out one machine after another from the laboratory.
"We’ll help." Chu Jun, unsure what these frail old n intended, saw the ceiling about to collapse, and they couldn’t afford the luxury of slow movents.
"Young people, just watch. Youth and strength don’t represent everything," one old man said with a chuckle, stopping Chu Jun and the others from helping.
Click! Click!
As the old n pressed the buttons on those machines, the energy ters on their panels lit up instantly.
Wheels appeared under those machines, and the old n stood on the machine racks, driving them like forklifts.
One by one, the old n drove the machines over, quickly connecting them together, forming a ring inside the lab that surrounded everyone.
When all the machines were rapidly connected, Xin Guan nodded to Professor Xu, who gave an order, and circles of flowing light appeared on the entire ring.
As the machines operated, parts of the ceiling were already pierced, and beams of sword light fell, striking the ground and creating holes.
More and more beams of sword light fell, and so were already striking towards their position.
Boom!
As the beams of sword light were about to fall, Chu Jun and the others were ready to act when they heard a loud bang. The sword light seed to hit an invisible wall and exploded, the resulting light blast shot skyward, blasting the already tattered roof, but the area below remained unaffected.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sword light crashed down, only to be blocked by an invisible Light Shield, exploding continuously outside the shield, denser than fireworks.
Under the terrifying assault of sword light, the entire lab was almost reduced to ruins, yet the ring-shaped defensive circle made of instrunts remained intact.
"Whoa... incredible... what is this thing..." Chu Jun exclaid, giving a thumbs-up to the old n as he watched the crazily exploding sword light outside.
The defensive circle created by those machines could actually withstand continuous strikes of Light Energy of Spirit Forging Level, which was both surprising and delightful.
"Hehe, it’s nothing, just a small gizmo. Originally designed to protect instrunts and avoid damage to important equipnt during Demon Spirit attacks, didn’t expect we’d use it now," one old man said.
"With such a good thing, why didn’t you bring it out earlier?" Chu Jun asked.
"Activating the defensive circle requires a lot of energy; it’s a waste to activate it randomly," the old man said seriously.
As they spoke, the laboratory had been reduced to ruins, and the sword light attacks had stopped.
Looking at the defensive circle and the people inside, Li Changyin, who had landed on the ground, was slightly surprised: "As expected from the research institute, you actually created equipnt to withstand Spirit Forging Level power. I underestimated you."
"Li Changyin, have you thought about the consequences of what you’ve done today if the Chairman finds out?" Professor Xu said, looking at Li Changyin.
"The Chairman?" Li Changyin said plainly, "Maybe after today, I’ll be the Chairman of Changshengtian. So what if I find out?"
Everyone was shocked at his words, never expecting Li Changyin to rebel.
"You still have so ability; submit to now, and I guarantee your lives will not be in danger. You can continue to lead the research institute in the future," Li Changyin said, looking at them.
"Bullshit, as if you are worthy!" one old man cursed directly.
"Dean Xu, your decision can determine life or death," Li Changyin ignored that old man and looked at Professor Xu.
"The research institute recognizes only one Chairman," Professor Xu said calmly.
"What a pity," Li Changyin sighed regretfully. With a thought, the Divine Light Sword Spirit shot at them like lightning.
Boom!
The Divine Light Sword Spirit seed to be stopped by an invisible wall; the blade couldn’t pierce through, hovering mid-air, the sword tip continuously bursting into fragnts of light, like a drill shooting sparks while drilling iron.
"Is this thing okay?" Chu Jun asked worriedly, looking at the constantly exploding sparks.
"Rest assured, the energy of the defensive circle is sufficient to withstand strikes of Spirit Forging Level power. The accumulated Demon Cores will allow it to operate for an entire day, ensuring our safety until then," Qiu Tianyu said.
Lei Qingfeng also said, "This is the crystallization of the research institute’s efforts; it won’t be easily destroyed."
"To withstand my full power Spirit Forging strike, it’s indeed impressive," Li Changyin said approvingly.
"Huh, as if we need your validation," one old man snorted coldly.
"What a pity." Li Changyin reached out and grabbed the Divine Light Sword Spirit as it flew back, holding its hilt.
"I’ll ask you one last ti, are you willing to submit to ?" Li Changyin asked Professor Xu again.
"You should just leave," Professor Xu said.
