Now reading: Chapter 128: Sheng Jianan, You Bastard! (8) from When Love Turns the Tables: The Mysterious Husband's Chase, a Romance novel by Tang Yanxi.

But Sheng Jianan didn’t expect to see such an ambiguous scene between her and Zhou Chengze when he chased out. At that mont, Sheng Jianan himself couldn’t figure out what he was feeling—an anger, a kind of anger he had never experienced since childhood.

What does it matter if Tang Yanqi slapped him once? What does it matter if Tang Yanqi made him lose face in front of outsiders? None of that compared to the intense anger that scene brought him.

In that instant, Sheng Jianan wanted to confidently go up and drag the ignorant little woman in front of him, to make her see clearly who was her man, who was her husband.

And after that thought flashed deep in Sheng Jianan’s mind, he was taken aback. Why would he have such a crazy idea? Why would he think like that?

The unprecedented bewildernt left Sheng Jianan standing there stunned without going over or having an outburst. Instead, it was only after Zhou Chengze saw him and recognized him that there was a slight change.

He trusted his brother; they must have a reasonable explanation for standing there like that. But the anger and helplessness brought by the confusion made him desperately need an outlet. Thus, his voice, dripping with disgust and sarcasm, struck at Tang Yanqi, who unsurprisingly fought back with words, once again leaving him speechless.

Because he caught a glimpse of a few private room doors on the other side opening one after another, Sheng Jianan quickly took Tang Yanqi away from that ssy place. Sheng Jianan rarely ca to such places, places that anyone could enter as long as they had money, surrounded by people from all walks of life. Almost instinctively, Sheng Jianan felt that bringing Tang Yanqi to such a place was a huge mistake. Her eyes were always clear, clean, and bright—how could such a woman fit into such a chaotic place?

So he quickly took her away, and it wasn’t until they were outside that Sheng Jianan noticed sothing was off about Tang Yanqi today. Her face had injuries; no, now it seed like her entire body was injured!

Sheng Jianan, with a gloomy face, took out a dical kit and carefully rolled up Tang Yanqi’s sleeve, then took out a cotton swab and alcohol to prepare for disinfection.

Tang Yanqi imdiately pulled back her hand: "It’s already been treated, no need to apply dicine again."

Sheng Jianan’s face remained sullen as he coldly snorted: "Already treated? Then why isn’t it wrapped up?"

Tang Yanqi rolled her eyes speechlessly. Young Master Sheng, do you think treating a wound ans wrapping everything up? And if it’s according to your wrapping style, she might end up like a dumpling.

Of course, Tang Yanqi wouldn’t say these things aloud, just a bit of criticism in her heart, maintaining her usual calm deanor: "It really has been treated. At the police station, the doctor there handled it."

Tang Yanqi simply explained the fact calmly, but Sheng Jianan sharply caught the important keyword: "Police station?"

Frowning with a dark expression, he looked at Tang Yanqi. In an instant, Tang Yanqi also realized she might have said too much. She pressed her lips together, choosing not to speak further. However, Sheng Jianan reached out, avoiding the wound at her mouth corner, pinched her chin, and turned her head. With a burning gaze, he said, "Tang Yanqi, you’d better explain to why my dignified Young Madam Sheng would end up at the police station?"

Tang Yanqi lowered her eyelids, avoiding Sheng Jianan’s gaze. She knew what he cared about was why the "Young Madam Sheng" was at the police station, not why "Tang Yanqi" was there.
