"Sheng...Sheng Jianan, stop ssing around."
Tang Yanqi pressed her hands against Sheng Jianan’s chest, lowered her head, and took a deep breath. Sheng Jianan curled his lips, wrapped an arm around Tang Yanqi’s waist, picked her up, and placed her on the bed, then set her pajamas beside her: "Rest for a while, and co down to eat."
Sheng Jianan might have been ssing around, but he knew his limits. He hadn’t intended to do that just now; her slightly trembling appearance made his heart itch, and impulsively, he kissed her.
Tang Yanqi’s skin was delicate and elastic like jelly. Sheng Jianan’s eyes flashed with a smile, but then he rembered the scar on her body and subconsciously frowned. A scar that deep must have been really painful when she got injured, right?
Frowning, Sheng Jianan went downstairs, relaxing a little only after seeing Mrs. Zhang, and asked, "Is the fish head soup ready?"
"Yes, young master. As you instructed, I added so gastrodia to the soup."
Sheng Jianan walked into the kitchen and caught a faint whiff of herbal dicine. He lifted the pot’s lid and saw the milky white fish head soup inside, and Tang Yanqi’s sowhat pale face floated before his eyes again.
He initially planned to wait for her to co down to eat, but Sheng Jianan changed his mind instantly. He scooped a big bowl, combined it with the greens and rice Mrs. Zhang had prepared, and took it upstairs.
Pushing the bedroom door open, Tang Yanqi had already dressed in her pajamas and was about to co down. Sheng Jianan glanced at her, placed the tray on the bedside table, and said to Tang Yanqi, "Mrs. Zhang made fish head soup for you."
Tang Yanqi was a bit surprised. Mrs. Zhang didn’t know she was injured, so why would she make fish head soup for her?
Sheng Jianan seed to realize he’d let sothing slip, and he cleared his throat softly: "Qiao Zi is such a gossip."
So it was Qiao Zi who ntioned it; no wonder. Tang Yanqi picked up the small bowl, lightly sipped it. It was savory with a hint of bitterness.
Mrs. Zhang probably knew about her head injury and added so herbal dicine.
Despite the strange taste, Tang Yanqi drank a bowl, forcing herself to do so. Sheng Jianan sat close to her and picked out so fish for her bowl: "Eat more, you eat what you need."
That line again!
Qiao Zi said the sa when bringing her fish soup, as did her roommate. Tang Yanqi couldn’t help but smile: "If that’s the case, I shouldn’t have fish soup; I should be eating pig’s trotters."
"Hm? Why?"
"If my limbs are strong enough to fight others, I won’t get hurt."
Tang Yanqi was rely continuing the conversation. Only after she spoke did she realize she was sitting with Sheng Jianan, not Qi Cheng, Bai Bing, or the others.
How could she tell such a cold joke to Sheng Jianan!
The room fell into a strange silence. After a mont, Sheng Jianan began to laugh heartily without any reservation, making Tang Yanqi blush. Was it really that funny? How exaggerated!
Sheng Jianan was still laughing, and Tang Yanqi couldn’t help but glare at him. Just as she was about to say sothing, Sheng Jianan casually said, "No need to eat, with here. I’ll protect you; no one born yet can beat ."
Tang Yanqi’s heart skipped a beat. Sheng Jianan was clearly exaggerating, but that wasn’t important. What mattered was, he said he’d protect her?
Sheng Jianan...protect Tang Yanqi?
How could that be possible?
From childhood to now, no one protected her. She never hoped for anyone to protect her, but now...
