Pressing her lips together, Tang Yanqi reached for her phone, found Tang Ruhai’s number, and was about to call when the phone suddenly rang. It was Sheng Jianan.
The sudden call took Tang Yanqi by surprise.
Wasn’t Sheng Jianan supposed to be on the plane right now?
Walking into the hospital corridor’s ergency exit, Tang Yanqi finally answered the call: "Hello?"
On the other end, Sheng Jianan was sitting in the VIP lounge at Hong Kong Airport. His flight was the earliest but wasn’t direct, requiring a stopover in Hong Kong, which gave him the chance to call Tang Yanqi.
Sheng Jianan had been restless throughout the journey, regretting getting on the plane imdiately. After the madness of last night, watching Tang Yanqi exhausted and nestled in his arms, looking at her peaceful face, her gentle collarbone, Sheng Jianan had never thought a woman could look so beautiful.
Holding her delicate body, two thoughts crossed his mind: first, he needed to feed her more, she was too thin, so thin it made his heart ache; second, from now on, this woman nad Tang Yanqi would be under his protection, his only woman, and no one would bully her. Only she could bully others.

"At the hospital."

Sheng Jianan seed to sense her embarrassnt through the phone, his smile growing wider, and he tapped his finger on his knee: "I’ll co back after dealing with everything. Wait for , okay?"
Tang Yanqi’s face grew even redder. He must be doing it on purpose, ending with that drawn-out "okay" with a teasing note.
Even over the phone, if they were face-to-face, Tang Yanqi would want to dig a hole and hide in it.
She forced herself to speak: "If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now."
"Mm, call if anything happens. Rember, if anyone bullies you again, I’ll deal with them."
