Tang Yanqi was stunned for a mont, then returned a smile, "Thank you."
As Tang Yanqi expected, Xiao Li took her to the styling room where Sheng Jianan had brought her before. She had a simple hairstyle done and changed into a bright red dress.
Tang Yanqi ca out of the fitting room, not paying attention to her surroundings. She looked down at the shoes on her feet and suddenly heard the click of a shutter, followed by familiar laughter.
"Tangtang, happy birthday."
Before Tang Yanqi could react, Qi Cheng’s voice had already co through. Only then did Tang Yanqi realize that all the fitting rooms beside her were open, and Qi Cheng, along with Bai Bing and Bai Xue, ca out wearing the sa style dresses as hers but in different colors.
"You guys..."
Tang Yanqi was stunned. Qi Cheng leaned over to her, "Hehe, it’s your man’s arrangent. How about it, nice right?"
Bai Bing also ca over, "Yeah, it’s all thanks to our Tangtang. I never thought I’d wear such an expensive dress in this lifeti."
Tang Yanqi truly hadn’t expected Sheng Jianan to arrange sothing like this. And when they arrived at the birthday party location, Tang Yanqi was even more surprised. It wasn’t a comrcial venue as she imagined, but a glass villa by the sea. From the outside, one couldn’t see much, but from inside, the beach and rocks were clearly visible.
The car stopped at the entrance. Xiao Li opened the car door for them. Before Tang Yanqi got out, she heard a playful whistle, "Whoa, our birthday girl has arrived."
The sunset tilted, casting golden light over the sea. There was no one else around, which made the scenery even more beautiful.
Tang Yanqi imdiately spotted Zhou Chengze, who had just whistled, and followed him inside. Everyone there was soone she had t before, Xu Muyun, Mu Yunfan, and even Gu Han, whom she had only t once.
"Hello, sister-in-law!"
Gu Han, sweet-talking as ever, was the first to greet Tang Yanqi.
Beside Gu Han sat soone Tang Yanqi didn’t recognize. She wore a casual Chanel suit, her hair was tied up high, and her makeup was neither too heavy nor too light—a professional woman’s look.
Because she didn’t know her, Tang Yanqi couldn’t help but look twice.
The person seed to sense her gaze, stood up, and reached out to Tang Yanqi. Her attire was sharp and neat, but her smile was gentle. "Hello, I’m Sheng Jiayu. We’ve t before, but you might have forgotten."
Sheng Jiayu? Sheng Jianan’s half-sister?
Tang Yanqi felt a bit embarrassed; she had indeed forgotten.
"Hello."
"Huh? Where’s my brother? How co he hasn’t co yet? How can he let his sister-in-law, the birthday girl, wait for him?"
Gu Han clamored noisily. Tang Yanqi felt slightly embarrassed and introduced her roommates to Sheng Jiayu and others, just as she heard the sound of a car braking outside.
Sheng Jianan, with his tall and graceful figure, walked in, a slight smile lingering on his face. He had actually arrived early but received a call from the Sheng Family’s old house asking him to pick up the birthday gift Mr. Sheng and Mrs. Sheng prepared for Tang Yanqi. He was delayed by traffic on the way back, arriving a few minutes late.
Ignoring everyone else, Sheng Jianan went straight to Tang Yanqi’s side. His eyes swept over her unobtrusively, his smile deepening, and the arrogance in his brow becoming more pronounced. His woman, indeed, looked the best.
"Sir, is everyone here? Shall we start the dinner?"
The servant ca over to ask. Sheng Jianan then shifted his gaze from Tang Yanqi, nodding lightly.
