Ignoring Mrs. Sheng, Sheng Jiayu walked up to Mr. Sheng, "Grandpa."
"Jiayu is here, sit down quickly."
Sheng Jianan had already stood up and nodded at Sheng Jiayu as a greeting.
Later, from their conversation, Tang Yanqi learned that the reason Mrs. Sheng went to the airport to pick up Sheng Jianan today was because Mr. Sheng wanted Sheng Jianan to co back for dinner, and Sheng Jiayu was also invited by him.
After dinner, Sheng Jiayu was called to the study by Mr. Sheng, Shen Yao helped Mrs. Sheng choose a dress from the cloakroom for the wedding of a friend’s child in a couple of days, while Sheng Jianan sat on the sofa in the living room, his hand casually resting on Tang Yanqi’s shoulder, staring at his phone, oblivious to what he was watching.
It was strange, even though she had nothing to do, wasn’t interested in what was on TV, and no one around her was talking to her, for so reason, Tang Yanqi didn’t feel bored at all.
She could feel the hand on her shoulder, occasionally winding a strand of her long hair, sotis gently tapping her shoulder twice.
A very peculiar feeling, but not boring at all.
After a while, Sheng Jianan put down his phone, tapped his fingers on Tang Yanqi’s shoulder again, and suddenly laughed, "Tang, your thesis..."
Tang Yanqi turned her head, only then noticing that Sheng Jianan had her thesis draft on his phone. She had confidence in her thesis; after all, her grades were earned through hard work.
Yet a hint of inferiority in her character made her feel a small surge of discomfort when Sheng Jianan spoke.
Tang Yanqi felt a bit nervous, her fingers involuntarily curled, but she maintained a calm deanor, "What’s up?"
Sheng Jianan chuckled a bit more, "Not bad."
Hearing him say that, the big stone in her heart suddenly fell to the ground, only to hear a leisurely voice whispering in her ear, "Mainly because I taught you well. So, how will you repay ?"
Instinctively, Tang Yanqi glared at him, doesn’t this guy have any sha? Aside from initially guiding her on her thesis topic, when did he ever help her?
Repay? Repay, my foot!
Seeing soone’s fluffing hair and puffed cheeks, Sheng Jianan felt as if sothing filled his chest, very pleasant and comfortable.
Just about to say sothing, a servant ca over respectfully and said, "Young Master, Mr. Sheng wants you to go to the study for a mont."
Sheng Jianan nodded, released Tang Yanqi, and who knows if it was intentional or not, as he was leaving, his fingers brushed across her cheek, the warmth from his fingertips spread through her body, making her feel a bit itchy and slightly embarrassed.
At the study door, Sheng Jianan ran into Sheng Jiayu, who walked towards Tang Yanqi wearing high heels, smiled slightly, "Shall we take a walk in the garden?"
After speaking, without giving Tang Yanqi ti to respond, she already turned around and walked out.
With Sheng Jianan entering the study, Tang Yanqi also felt uneasy. If Mrs. Sheng and Shen Yao ca down later, it would be even more awkward. She didn’t really know Sheng Jiayu well, only eting her a couple of tis, but being with her, Tang Yanqi felt alright, not particularly awkward.
At night, the breeze was slightly cool, Sheng Jiayu’s trench coat fluttered in the wind. Tang Yanqi stood a short distance behind her, staring at her back, and inexplicably, two words appeared in her mind: loneliness.
"Want one?"
