Tang Yanqi glanced at the bag and then at Sheng Jianan: "The water’s ready."
The man reclining on the bed beckoned her over: "Co here."
Tang Yanqi obediently went over, and Sheng Jianan shoved the bag into her arms: "I was planning to give it to you in a couple of days, but I just had a brain malfunction and was afraid I’d forget, so I’m giving it to you now."

Later, when he realized he seed to be falling for Tang Yanqi, his heart experienced brief conflict, but liking was liking, and as for that "she," if fate allowed him to et her again, he’d repay her kindness; if not, he’d still keep her in his heart.
Now "she" really appeared, and Sheng Jianan realized it wasn’t like how he thought at all. Up until Shen Yao saved him today, he hadn’t actually thought much about anything, not even when she disregarded her own safety to go to him; he barely felt anything.
Listening to her story at Shen Yao’s place, he felt a bit sympathetic, but only that.
This realization made Sheng Jianan feel odd, coupled with the inherent discord in his heart, he was sowhat restless.
But returning here, chatting on the phone, seeing a fluffy thing co out of the room, seeing her blush and glare at him because of his words.
Seeing her accidentally swipe against him, her face entirely lacking its usual calmness and composure, full of panic. Where was any trace of restlessness left in Sheng Jianan’s heart?
Ultimately, it was simple: seeing her filled his heart.

Outside the bathroom, Tang Yanqi took the little dress out of the box and laid it on the bed, then turned to put Sheng Jianan’s clothes into the dirty laundry basket.
Holding his clothes, Tang Yanqi instinctively lowered her head to sniff them; there was a faint perfu scent, exactly like the one Shen Yao had.
