"Xiao Yi? Why are you up so late?"
The little girl behind her rubbed her eyes, holding a toy bear in her hands, "Xiao Yi woke up and didn’t see Mommy."
Su Anle stepped forward and held the little girl in her arms, "Mommy got up to drink so water. Be a good girl, go back to sleep, okay?"
"Okay."
The little girl nodded obediently and gave Su Anle a kiss on the cheek, "Mommy, goodnight."
After sending her daughter back to her room and coaxing her to sleep, Su Anle lay back down. What was she just thinking? Isn’t this current stability exactly what she used to pursue?
Apart from that extravagant hope for Sheng Jianan, all she ever wanted was stability, without all those ssy chains, without all those complicated relationships, just simply living out the rest of her life.
Now, this is really good.
People shouldn’t be too greedy, just like she was once too greedy. And what did she get in return?
It was heart-wrenching pain, and a heart as dead as ashes.
But now, it is just right.
Three days before the dispatch mission, before leaving, Su Anle took Su Weiyi to Shen Jiyan’s place. The little girl clung to her arm, refusing to let go.
"Be a good girl, isn’t it nice to be here with Uncle? Mommy will be back in a few days to pick you up, okay?"
The little girl’s big eyes looked as if they were about to burst into tears, but they didn’t. Shen Jiyan ca over and picked up Su Weiyi from behind, "Xiao Yi, Uncle will take you to draw. Say goodbye to Mommy."
"Goodbye, Mommy."
It was clear that the girl was reluctant to part. Su Anle kissed her on the cheek before leaving with her luggage.
She boarded a plane to B City. The translation institute’s budget wasn’t that sufficient; there were five people in total on this trip, all flying economy class. There was even a layover in between. After nearly twenty hours of long-haul travel, everyone looked exhausted.
"Sister Su, I really admire you. How do you manage it? You don’t seem tired at all."
A young girl accompanying Su Anle started chatting with her as soon as they got off the plane.
This girl was nad Li Weiwei. She wasn’t much younger than her, but her identity was fabricated, making her seem older than she actually was. Plus, she always had a calm deanor, giving off an impression of stability.
So, in the translation institute, anyone younger than her, regardless of how much younger, would call her "Sister Su."
Su Anle smiled at Li Weiwei, "Maybe I’m already too exhausted to even look exhausted."

"Sister Su, your jokes are really cold."
Once they left the airport, there was soone assigned to pick them up. Looking out at the familiar yet unfamiliar scenery through the car window, Su Anle found her mood calr than she had imagined.
The greatest sorrow is a dead heart, perhaps that’s how it is. Even if revisiting old places or seeing old faces, she should be able to remain calm.
The hotel was booked in the city center. Su Anle and Li Weiwei were sharing a room. The plane arrived in the morning. Their work would start the next day, aning they had more than half a day’s rest.
"Sister Su, shall we take a bath and go out for a walk? I’ve never been to B City, and I’d like to explore while we have ti."
Su Anle took out her laptop, opened it, and spoke without turning her head, "You go ahead, I have a few things to take care of."
"Oh, co on, Sister Su. I’m not familiar with this place. Are you really okay with letting go out alone?"
"Yes."
