The next day, the foreign assignnt officially began, with Su Anle serving as the top translator, sticking with the team closely. After several consecutive days of translation work, Su Anle felt she had gained a lot, but it also brought headaches and fatigue.
Translation work seems simple on the surface, but it actually requires one to be on high alert at all tis.
She had only been doing liaison interpreting these past few days; if it were simultaneous interpreting, she’d probably be exhausted.
"Sister Su, is tomorrow the last day?"
Li Weiwei, lying on the bed flipping through the schedule book, nodded at Su Anle: "Yes, this job went pretty smoothly, we wrapped up a day ahead of schedule. After tomorrow’s work, we’ll still have a day of leisure, and the flight back to Paris is the day after."
"Ah... I’m worn out. By the way, Sister Su, what do you plan to do the day after? Once the work is done, how about we go out for a stroll?"
Su Anle looked at her: "Haven’t you already bought loads of stuff? Isn’t that enough?"
"I won’t buy more, just a stroll. I heard the scenery at B City’s K University is nice. I went to university in France, so I haven’t experienced a dostic university yet. Sister Su, please co with , will you? Pretty please?"
Li Weiwei hugged Su Anle’s arm, acting coy. In the translation institute, Li Weiwei and her had a good relationship, but this sort of "good" was limited to Li Weiwei being able to talk more with her.
Su Anle’s personality was sowhat aloof, neither warm nor cold towards anyone, making her hard to approach. She didn’t care about others’ complints and praises, nor did she pay heed to their sarcastic remarks.
However, Li Weiwei had figured out her temperant. As long as you treated her well, she’d reciprocate, just that her personality was a bit cold. A bit of coaxing could still work.
Indeed, unable to resist her, Su Anle nodded: "Alright, the day after tomorrow afternoon, I’ll accompany you to stroll around K University, but only this one place."
"Great, Sister Su, you’re the best."
The last day’s job involved liaising with B City’s governnt. As a translator, Su Anle wore a black suit with a fitted skirt and black high heels, had her hair up, and wore black-frad glasses, looking intellectual yet sowhat mature.
As a translator, she spoke when necessary, absolutely keeping silent when it’s not. Despite this, the calm deanor she exuded still drew people to glance at her more.
With journalists following the event, Su Anle intentionally and unintentionally blocked her face. Although she knew the focus wasn’t on her, she still wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Once the work was successfully wrapped up, their group found a rather upscale restaurant for dinner. The next day’s ti was sort of stolen, with everyone busy doing their own things, eting at the airport when it’s ti.
Slept in until late morning, had a tasteless buffet lunch at the hotel, then Li Weiwei incessantly dragged her out.
Su Anle wore a baseball cap and continued to wear black-frad glasses on her face.
"Sister Su, what’s all this about?"
Li Weiwei pointed at the hat on her head, to which Su Anle replied nonchalantly: "Sun, shade."
Li Weiwei looked up at the sun obscured by clouds and thought, this... It’s cloudy turning overcast today, okay?
In three years, K University had added two new dormitory buildings, an additional laboratory, and a swimming pool, but not much else had changed.
But it gave a refreshing feeling; indeed, everything had changed in three years.
