Leaving the billiards club, Tang Yanqi was already asleep on the sofa. Sheng Jianan carefully picked her up, placed her in the car, and brought her back to the villa, carrying her once again to the bedroom.
Staring at Tang Yanqi’s sleeping face for a few seconds, Sheng Jianan slowly walked out.
On the way back, Qiao Zi called him; there was an urgent matter to address. Sheng Jianan returned to the study, turned on the computer, and held a video conference with the head of the branch on the other side of the ocean.
The eting lasted for over two hours. By the ti he closed the laptop, the window outside was pitch black.
The man pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a bit tired but not at all sleepy, and walked over to the bookshelf, intending to pick up a book to read. His gaze fell on the photo album on the shelf.
Sheng Jianan was well aware that the photo album, which he personally left there, had been moved, likely by Tang Yanqi. He didn’t mind and reached out to take it down.
This was an album he had taken from his grandfather’s place, but in fact, he had never opened it, even though it had been three years. The grief of Mr. Sheng’s passing still lingered on his heart.
Sheng Jianan pursed his lips and took the album back to the bedroom.
Under a softly glowing lamp, the old photographs looked even more nostalgic.
Sheng Jianan flipped through it page by page, his eyes slightly reddened. Whenever his heart started to feel oppressed, he would turn his head to glance at the person sleeping soundly beside him.
No one can accompany him for a lifeti, but at this mont he hopes that he could accompany her throughout his life.
At the very least, he vowed not to let himself die before she does.
He spent a long ti looking at the album, and at the end discovered a strange photograph. Sheng Jianan frowned, reaching out to pull the photo out.
The photo wasn’t very clear, but it was evident that Tang Ruhai was standing in the middle. In this photograph, the only person he recognized was Tang Ruhai.
But why would a photo of Tang Ruhai be in his grandfather’s album?

Did he see it wrong?
Was it just soone who looked like Tang Ruhai?
Sheng Jianan put the photo back and rembered that Tang Yanqi seed to have brought back an album from the Tang Family. He opened the drawer of the bedside table and took a look—it was indeed there.
Taking out the album from inside, Sheng Jianan flipped through a few pages of Tang Ruhai’s photos, compared them, and confird that the person in his grandfather’s album was indeed Tang Ruhai.
Sheng Jianan furrowed his brow deeply. His grandfather never allowed others to touch his belongings, and he had also instructed others not to move his grandfather’s relics. Could it be that Tang Yanqi slipped the photo in herself?
As Sheng Jianan flipped through, suddenly, his hand paused. In the Tang Family’s album, there was an identical photo.
A photo of Tang Ruhai appeared in both his grandfather’s and the Tang Family’s albums. Was this a coincidence?
Staring for a few more seconds, Sheng Jianan discovered that, besides Tang Ruhai, there were two other people who appeared frequently in the Tang Family’s album.
Though sowhat blurry and impossible to be completely certain, after inspecting multiple tis, Sheng Jianan realized one of them might be Tang Yanqi’s mother.
After learning about what happened back then, Sheng Jianan naturally investigated Tang Yanqi and her mother’s situation. Having seen a photo of her mother, though her appearance had sowhat changed, it was evident they were the sa person. So, who was the other person?
Tang Ruhai had no connections with the Sheng Family, and Tang Yanqi’s mother had no ties to the Sheng Family either. So, the connection must be the other person?
