Sheng Jianan’s tone was light, Tang Yanqi’s entire body stiffened, but she quickly regained her composure, lowered her eyelids, and after a long silence, uttered three words: "I know."

Sheng Jianan had imagined countless possible reactions from Tang Yanqi. She might be shocked, or perhaps angry and furious like Zhou Chengze, or disbelieving. But he had never imagined that the person before him could be so calm, so indifferent, as to utter those three words.
Tang Yanqi slowly lifted her eyelids, her eyes still as clear as a diamond: "I am the person involved. When that car ca at , whether it was intentional or not, how could I not be clear? With that kind of speed, it was obviously aiming for my life, it’s just my luck that I’m still here."
Tang Yanqi took Sheng Jianan’s hand off her forehead and smiled: "When I was recovering in France, I dread of that scene more than once. I might not have a great personality, but I am not one to offend soone to the point where they would want my life. To be blunt, I can only think of two people who would want dead: your mother and Shen Yao."
Sheng Jianan pressed his thin lips together, quietly listening to her continue.

A sarcastic sneer gradually appeared on Tang Yanqi’s face: "Only soone with the power to do such a thing and cover the traces, soone who has a deep-seated hatred for , could do this—likely your mother. Sheng Jianan said nothing further, but in his heart, he agreed with Tang Yanqi’s words, after all, he and Shen Jiyan were not without so acquaintance.
Sheng Jianan’s indifference to others stemd from his inherent pride and his habit of standing in a high position since childhood, but Shen Jiyan was different. He genuinely did not care about anything or anyone unrelated to him, and what determined that "relationship" was up to him.
Clearly, in Shen Jiyan’s eyes, Shen Yao had nothing to do with him.
Tang Yanqi continued: "Having understood his character, I also believe what he told . If he wasn’t protecting Shen Yao, then indeed, he found nothing. Shen Jiyan is not an ordinary person.
