Zhou Chengze’s attitude left everyone present confused, and naturally, no one dared to slack off.
Tang Yanqi awoke groggily in the middle of the night, unaware of when the needle in her hand had been removed. Frowning as she looked around the environnt, Tang Yanqi wondered, how did she end up here?
Did soone bring her to the hospital?
"Miss, you’re awake?"
Just as she propped herself up to sit, the door to the hospital room was pushed open. A young nurse walked in carrying dicine and a thermoter.
Tang Yanqi pursed her lips, "Hello, how did I end up here?"
"It was Mr. Sheng, Sheng Jianan who brought you here. Are you feeling any better?"
The nurse spoke while handing the thermoter to Tang Yanqi. "Your forehead doesn’t feel hot anymore, but we still need to take your temperature to confirm."
Tang Yanqi accepted it and placed it under her armpit, still feeling a bit dazed. Was it Sheng Jianan who brought her here?
So, the person calling her na and carrying her in her foggy mory was Sheng Jianan?
Of course, Tang Yanqi didn’t overthink it. There was nothing much to ponder over. Although Sheng Jianan disliked her, he was at least a gentleman, not one to ignore soone in distress.
After five minutes in complete silence, the nurse took back the thermoter and glanced at it with a smile. "Good, the fever’s gone. Do you want to eat sothing? I can have soone prepare it."
Tang Yanqi wasn’t naive; she knew that they were being polite because of Sheng Jianan. However, she also understood that Sheng Jianan hadn’t revealed her identity; otherwise, they wouldn’t be addressing her just as "Miss."
"Thank you, no need."
"Alright, then take your dicine and rest. It’s already very late."
"Okay, thank you!"
Tang Yanqi obediently took her dicine and asked the nurse to bring her bag. After retrieving her phone from it, she lay back down.
There were many missed calls and ssages on her phone, all from people in her dormitory asking where she had gone out of concern.
Tang Yanqi replied to Bai Bing, saying she wouldn’t be returning tonight. After a mont’s hesitation, she clicked on Sheng Jianan’s number, pursed her lips, and typed two words: [Thank you]

In the brightly lit living room, Sheng Jianan had a laptop resting on his lap, displaying the latest stock market trends with red and green lines. A cup of coffee sat on the coffee table, already cold and untouched.
Sheng Jianan stared at the computer screen, seemingly very focused. But upon closer inspection, his eyes were unfocused, revealing a typical zoning-out expression.
After a while, Sheng Jianan closed the laptop and tossed it to the side. Feeling a bit restless, an inexplicable irritability gnawed at him. He scratched his head, frowned, and grabbed his phone to call Zhou Chengze. "Where are you? Want to go out for a drink?"
On the other end, Zhou Chengze’s voice sounded somber, but upon hearing Sheng Jianan’s invitation, he agreed without hesitation.
Sheng Jianan stood up, changed clothes, and headed out. No sooner had his car pulled out of the community than his phone beeped with a new ssage.
Expecting it to be Zhou Chengze’s text, he was taken aback to see the ssage was "Thank you," followed by a string of numbers without a saved na. Sheng Jianan instantly knew who it was from, and suddenly, his previous restlessness was halved, replaced by a different, more vexing emotion.
He tossed his phone aside, sped up, and reached the arranged eting place before Zhou Chengze arrived.
