Had lunch at Mu Ke’s apartnt, of course, it was Mu Ke who cooked it. Because of Sheng Jiayu’s stomach, there were no spicy or stimulating ingredients. Normally, Sheng Jiayu wouldn’t accept such food apart from breakfast, but today she surprisingly found it quite nice.
After the al, Mu Ke didn’t go directly to Xu Qingru’s old mansion but detoured to a store that specializes in selling bird’s nests.
Sheng Jiayu didn’t get out of the car and waited inside. When the man ca out, he was carrying two large boxes.
There’s no need to say; these are obviously bought for Xu Qingru. Sheng Jiayu wanted to say it wasn’t necessary, but she felt that since he already bought them, saying that would be aningless.
She just turned her head to look at Mu Ke, smiled, and said, "Doctor Mu, are you rich? Spending money so recklessly, aren’t you afraid of going bankrupt?"
Sheng Jiayu knows this store; it’s the most famous bird’s nest seller in B City. Business is booming, yet they refuse to open a branch, and the daily quantity is limited. Naturally, the prices are extrely high.
Mu Ke slowly made a turn with the steering wheel and then spoke coolly, "I told you, it wouldn’t be a problem to take care of you."

Sheng Jiayu glared at Mu Ke and turned to look out the window. This man was really infuriating.

Sheng Jiayu stepped forward to hug Xu Qingru: "Mom, Happy New Year."
Xu Qingru was full of smiles, looked carefully at her daughter, and then turned her gaze to Mu Ke who was just entering from the doorway.
