Sheng Jianan’s face was as dark as it could be. After Yun Fan finished greeting Tang Yanqi and said goodbye, he turned around and saw his friend’s grim expression.
"Jianan?"
Upon hearing his voice, Sheng Jianan’s expression softened slightly, and he snorted coldly, "Let’s go."
Yun Fan paused for a mont, looked back at Tang Yanqi’s distant figure, and then looked at Sheng Jianan’s deanor, understanding in his heart. As a rising star in the dical field, Yun Fan had a ticulousness that most people didn’t possess—it’s a professional trait of being a doctor.
Although feeling sowhat doubtful, after getting into the car, Yun Fan asked, "Jianan, do you know Teacher Tang?"
Sheng Jianan drove without responding, Yun Fan continued, "That day at the Shengshi Gate, I thought you scared Teacher Tang. Later, you said you went to return a phone, and today you suddenly ca over again. Teacher Tang seed very calm, but I noticed that when you ca in, she trembled a little, and she didn’t dare to look at you when talking, so she’s genuinely afraid of you."
As Yun Fan spoke, he suddenly thought of sothing, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, "Teacher Tang’s last na is also Tang, could it be... she is...?"
Sheng Jianan’s face remained foul, responding to Yun Fan’s question with nothing but a muffled grunt from his throat.
Elsewhere, Tang Yanqi walked out quickly, unable to resist turning back carefully after a long distance. Naturally, there was no trace of Sheng Jianan.
Tang Yanqi stood quietly in place. She knew Sheng Jianan ca to the school because of Yun Fan, but she had to admit that watching him enter the principal’s office, seeing him not actually for her but nevertheless seeking justice for her, her heart felt a pang.
The panic of that mont, the heartbeat of that mont, had not occurred for a very long ti.
Lowering her head, Tang Yanqi sighed quietly. She could maintain composure towards anyone or anything, except Sheng Jianan... he was ultimately an exception.
Facing him, she always forced calmness, but in reality? The more composed she appeared, the more turmoil was within her.
The effort to appear calm exhausted all her energy, so every ti she confronted Sheng Jianan, all she felt was endless fatigue.
This fatigue was so overwhelming, she didn’t know how much longer she could endure, so avoiding him would be best from now on.
Sheng Jianan was a poison to avoid, a poppy flower not to touch.
Dragging her heavy steps back to the dorm, briefly explaining the results to her roommates, Tang Yanqi climbed into bed and slept. She didn’t know why, just felt utterly exhausted, and when she next opened her eyes, it was nearly noon.
"Tangtang, you’re awake? Your phone has been flashing." Below, Bai Xue mumbled while nibbling on an ice pop.
Tang Yanqi rubbed her sleepy eyes, slowly climbed down from bed, glanced at her phone, and found two missed calls and one ssage.
Tang Yanqi hadn’t yet opened the ssage when the phone rang again. Holding it, she walked to the bathroom and answered, "Mr. Mu?"
"Teacher Tang, sorry to bother you, Jianan drank too much and is in the hospital. I hope you can co and take care of him."
Drank too much? Drank enough to end up in the hospital?
"Mr. Mu, I..."
"Isn’t Teacher Tang also Mrs. Sheng?"
