Jiayu swallowed the dumpling in her mouth and pushed the plate in front of her: "Would you like to try it?"
Mu Ke shook his head and pushed the plate back: "I’ve eaten, you go ahead, eat slowly."
It might have been her imagination, but Jiayu always felt that Mu Ke seed to have a certain other aning when he said this.
Yet upon close observation, the man appeared calm, as if he was just saying sothing ordinary.
Jiayu picked up another dumpling and put it in her mouth, perhaps he was worried she might have indigestion, so he told her to eat slowly.
Mu Ke didn’t cook much, just a total of seven dumplings. Jiayu was full after the fifth one; she had just put down her chopsticks when she heard Mu Ke ask, "What’s the matter? Not tasty?"
"No, it’s very tasty, just full, can’t eat anymore."
Usually, if Jiayu couldn’t finish her food, Mu Ke never forced her. Either it was wasted, or he would clean up for her. But today, Mu Ke frowned: "Only two left, keep going."
Jiayu gave him a suspicious glance, she just felt sothing was off.
But she still obediently picked up her chopsticks and continued eating. The dumplings Mu Ke made weren’t large, so two really weren’t much.
One went down, then picked up another one...
The flavor remained fresh and fragrant, but this one... wait, sothing was still off.
Jiayu felt sothing hardbrush against her tooth, as if she bit into sothing solid.

Many families do this, wrapping a coin inside a dumpling during the New Year to see who gets it.

Before she spit out the thing in her mouth, Jiayu had already guessed what it was, but actually holding it and seeing clearly what it was, her heart suddenly skipped a beat.

The villa was extrely quiet, Jiayu stared dumbfounded at the man in front of her, when suddenly a piercing sound rang out, and a large fireworks display abruptly blood in the pitch-black sky outside.
Jiayu was montarily dazzled by the fireworks, then turning back, found Mu Ke’s eyes blazing intensely, looking at her with utmost seriousness.
Marry him?
This is... a proposal?
Maybe no one would believe it if said.
She Jiayu had been married before, but this really was her first ti being proposed to.
Back when she was with Xin Ke, Xin Ke rely said "Let’s go to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow, get ready" and left it at that.
No ring, and certainly no kneeling on one knee.
At that ti, Jiayu just thought those things were childish routines, she didn’t need them.
But now, with an actual man holding a diamond ring, kneeling on one knee saying "marry " before her, Jiayu realized, this kind of thing might indeed be childish, but she truly liked it.
Her eyes unknowingly grew moist, fireworks continued to boom and blossom outside, the clock had already struck twelve, Jiayu lowered her gaze, silent for two seconds, reached out her hand: "Yes."
Excitent and nervousness appeared uncontrollably on Mu Ke’s handso face, Jiayu could feel he was holding back his excitent, slowly taking her hand, sliding the ring on.
