Just as Sheng Jiayu was about to speak, a cold voice suddenly interrupted, halting Mr. Mu’s action of kneeling.
Mu Ke stepped forward with his long legs, walked to Sheng Jiayu’s side, wrapped his arm around Sheng Jiayu’s waist, and looked quietly at Mr. Mu.

The luggage was already in Su Chen’s car, and they drove directly to the airport from the hospital. Sheng Jiayu kept her head down without speaking. As they approached the airport highway, Su Chen suddenly spoke, "He doesn’t want you to suffer here."
"What?"
Sheng Jiayu was lost in her thoughts and didn’t imdiately respond to Su Chen’s words. Su Chen continued driving calmly, "Mu Ke’s mom is actually a good person. "But you know, I understand that kid Mu Ke. Once he decides on sothing, no one can stop him. So you should go back to B City first. If you suffer here, Mu Ke might go crazy because he cares too much about you."
Sheng Jiayu vaguely understood why Mu Ke insisted on her returning first, but hearing Su Chen say it so bluntly made her heart ache a bit.
She actually could face it together with him, but he didn’t want that because he couldn’t bear to.
Arriving at the airport, Sheng Jiayu bought the quickest ticket back to B City. Su Chen waited until she passed through security before turning to leave, pulling out his phone to call Mu Ke: "She’s gone, already inside."
