Back at Mu Ke’s apartnt, almost all of Jiayu’s things had been moved over, turning the place into their temporary little ho.
Jiayu’s wound was healing well, but she couldn’t get it wet.
While at the hospital, Mu Xin and Xu Qingru would help her wipe her body. On the first night back at the apartnt, as Jiayu was about to head to the bathroom herself, Mu Ke had already approached: "I’ll help you."
Because the injury was on her waist and unsuitable for being carried, Mu Ke simply supported Jiayu as they walked to the bathroom. He had already filled the tub with hot water. Jiayu sat on the chair next to the bathtub, pushing Mu Ke a bit, "You can go out. I can do it myself."

The smile on her face froze for a mont. Since that incident, Xin Ke had been noticeably more in touch with her.
The words weren’t exactly ambiguous, nor did they say anything inappropriate, but Jiayu could sense sothing had changed.
Xin Ke’s concern for her was quite ordinary, for example, now he had sent a ssage: [The weather forecast says it will rain tomorrow, keep warm, your wound hasn’t healed yet.]

The sound of water stopped in the bathroom, Jiayu set the phone aside and ignored it. Mu Ke ca out wearing cotton pajamas, his hair still wet.
He smiled at Jiayu, went out to warm up a glass of milk for her, then dried his hair before lying down beside her.
Just as the two of them were about to speak, Mu Ke’s phone rang. Whatever the person on the other end said caused his expression to darken, and after a pause, he said, "Alright, I understand."
