Su Weiyi took Chen Ajia for a stroll around B City, mainly looking for food. Occasionally, Zhou Chengchen would join them, but most of the ti it was just Su Weiyi and Chen Ajia.
Though Zhou Chengchen wasn’t very old, she loved beauty. Unlike Su Weiyi, who could eat without gaining weight, Zhou Chengchen would put on a couple of pounds just by eating a bit more today, making her incompatible with the foodie Chen Ajia.
It seed like Chen Ajia didn’t like Zhou Chengchen that much either, so Su Weiyi rarely brought the two of them together.
As August ca to a close, Sheng Yanxiao was about to start school again and had to return to S City. On the day before he left, Chen Ajia wisely decided not to play the third wheel. Having beco familiar with B City over the days, she went out by herself, leaving ti for Su Weiyi and Sheng Yanxiao.
The feeling of being with soone you love is that even doing the most mundane things in the world is joyful.
Like now, the two of them walked side by side, wandering aimlessly down the streets and alleys. This was the city they had grown up in, and there was no need to talk about familiarity, but walking those paths they used to take now felt different.
The plane trees on the street seed more pleasing to the eye, and even the billboards by the roadside looked nice.
Even the blazing sun overhead felt rather friendly.
They wandered for quite so ti, and then Sheng Yanxiao took Su Weiyi to see a movie. The young couple had no clue what to do on a date, but whatever they did, they felt happy.
As for watching a movie, this stereotypical activity, though a bit cliché, wasn’t too bad either.
There weren’t any good movies playing lately, mostly trashy flicks with popular young stars drawing crowds with no acting skills to speak of, and the plots were terrible too.
But Su Weiyi didn’t pay much attention to it. From the mont they went in and the lights dimd, Sheng Yanxiao’s hand had already grasped hers.
It seed to be because of the sumr break, young couples that looked like middle and high schoolers could be seen everywhere around them, making them blend in perfectly.
If anything stood out, it would be Sheng Yanxiao’s insanely good looks, which didn’t lose out at all to the young stars on screen and even had a superior air about him.
But the lights in the cinema were dim, and nothing was visible.
Su Weiyi’s eyes gazed at the screen, but her thoughts drifted into outer space.
She didn’t even know when the movie ended. It wasn’t until the lights ca on and people around her began to get up and head out that she snapped back to reality.
"Let’s go get sothing to eat."
Sheng Yanxiao was already standing, still holding Su Weiyi’s hand as they moved with the crowd towards the exit. At the restroom entrance, Su Weiyi stopped him: "Wait a mont, I need to go to the restroom."
Sheng Yanxiao took her bag and waited outside, his gaze shifted slightly, landing on a few claw machine gas near the cinema entrance.
There were a couple of young couples gathered there, and one boy successfully grabbed a plush toy. The girl beside him stood on tiptoe, smiling as she gave him a peck on the cheek.
Sheng Yanxiao’s eyes flashed with a bit of an unusual glimr, and the next second, his lean figure was already standing in front of the claw machine.
Young Master Sheng knew how to ski, surf, play golf, and shoot, but this was his first attempt at a claw machine.
Brimming with confidence, Sheng Yanxiao exchanged ten tokens and stood in front of one of the machines.
On the first try, the toy didn’t move at all. On the second, he barely grasped it. On the third... to the ninth, he finally managed to grab one, but just as it was about to drop into the hole, it fell off.
