Su Weiyi looked at the items Sheng Yanxiao had supposedly prepared for her. It was a white knee-length chiffon dress with a halter neck design, sowhat resembling the Bohemian dress she wore in the Maldives, but different in that it was clearly intended for an evening gala.
Su Weiyi quickly changed into the dress, and imdiately soone ca to style her hair. Her hair wasn’t long, rely shoulder length, and was simply tied up into a bun with so deliberate ssy strands that lent a cute yet languid look.
The stylist didn’t apply any makeup on Su Weiyi; her skin was naturally wonderful, and adding makeup would have been overkill on this refreshing look.
So they only applied a touch of pink lip gloss to her lips, making her appear more petite and adorable.
Su Weiyi walked out into the revolving restaurant, listening to the lodious violin music emanating from sowhere as her gaze searched across the empty tables.
The restaurant was circular, and as she walked along a small arc, she spotted the young man standing by the window overlooking the whole city.
Sheng Yanxiao was dressed in a black shirt and black pants, making his inherently mature aura seem more composed, lacking the youthful awkwardness he should possess, yet his slender fra was still missing the sturdy physique of a grown man.
Su Weiyi suddenly felt a bit awkward, looking at Sheng Yanxiao’s back, she suddenly felt the scene was a bit overwhelmingly ceremonious.
Sheng Yanxiao apparently sensed her presence too, slowly turning around, the young man’s rebellious eyes were tinged with a smile. He walked leisurely over to Su Weiyi, taking her hand and leading her towards the dining table.
Upon reaching the table, a small basket of roses was placed in the center, accompanied by sparkling goblets and pristine white porcelain.
Su Weiyi suddenly felt even more awkward. What does this feeling resemble now?
It’s like a child sneaking into adult clothes, mimicking grown-up speech and actions.
"Young Master Sheng, can we serve now?"
"Mm, go ahead."
The al was exquisite French cuisine, and Su Weiyi slowly cald herself, smiling faintly, "What made you arrange all this?"
"You don’t like it?"
Su Weiyi smiled again, "No, it’s just... feels a bit strange."
"I wanted it to be a bit more grand."
Sheng Yanxiao lowered his gaze, slicing the steak in his hand. Not only did she find it strange; he felt it was exceedingly odd as well. But it’s their first ti alone, celebrating a birthday, and it was his last birthday before adulthood.
In a few days, he would turn eighteen, and his eighteenth year was destined to be uproariously transformative.
Taming the urge to undo the button on his shirt collar, Sheng Yanxiao ate the food on his plate with elegance and deliberation.
Soon, after finishing the al, Su Weiyi wiped her mouth with the napkin, a large hand suddenly reached out in front of her, "Miss Su Weiyi, may I invite you to dance?"
The previously lodious violin had at so point turned into a waltz. Su Weiyi chuckled lightly, placing her hand into Sheng Yanxiao’s palm.
Black and white, swaying and spinning...
Outside the window, the sky had already darkened. In a certain mont, Su Weiyi heard a "bang," as a massive, brilliant firework soared into the sky from sowhere unknown.
And in the next second, her lips were suddenly kissed by soone; the large hand that had been embracing her waist tightened instantly, drawing the two tightly together.
