The wind blew across his cheeks, pressing Nidesar’s slightly curled black hair against the iron chin guard.

His body rose and fell with the warhorse, as the trees and berry bushes on either side vanished like phantoms.

He could hear the warhorse’s neighs and the war cries of his companions; 300 charging Nikosaks lay low against the horse’s backs, almost becoming one with them.

Behind them were 300 knights charging as attendants, struggling to keep up with their shadows.

Bright red short capes protruded from beneath the silver-gray shoulder armor, swaying violently in the fierce wind and clashed against each other with crisp cracking sounds.

Unlike the previously fanatical Ibe Knights, Nidesar’s eyes were extrely clear-headed.

His equestrian skills were excellent, and his courage was more than enough to charge the enemy formations.

Not like those Imperial dandy knights who forego equestrian training, relying instead on drinking Khan potions to achieve a charge.

Nidesar only drank Khan potions or spider potions at the most critical monts.

The charge he led was unlike the reckless charges of the previous knights.

After those Ibe Knights launched their charge, he discovered changes in the enemy formations on both the left and right wings.

Whether it be the Blood and Flesh Royal Court or the Divine Ai Empire, there’s a rule on the battlefield: unless necessary, avoid changing formations.

Because once formations change, the foolish infantry becos confused, unable to understand the concept of positioning, and has a high likelihood of exposing vulnerabilities.

Especially when facing a knight’s charge, they’re more prone to mistakes under pressure.

Due to the distance and difficulty of charging the enemy left wing on the high ground to his right, Nidesar decided to attempt a breakthrough from the enemy’s right wing.

The hooves landed, raising plus of dust.

Jeska stood on a biological synthesis armored vehicle (wooden shield vehicle) unused for a long ti, raising his binoculars to gaze into the distance ahead.

From the male gaze of Jeska, just from the dust alone, he could roughly determine the number of opposing knights to be between 400 and 600.

The troops he relied on consisted of 1000 infantry, two not-yet-dry mortar low walls, and a defensive vehicle fortification.

Holding the edge of the vehicle, Jeska jumped off: "Inform the central army’s Kolman, just now I helped them, they need to help , initiate an L-shaped shot from the side."

As for Nidesar’s attempt to force a chaotic reformation through charging, Jeska was not worried at all.

The Salvation Army’s training subjects included a drill called infantry reformation under cavalry charge.

As for the thundering sound of hooves, these war monks, beaten emotionless by instructors with wooden sticks, would hardly pay any mind.

"Black Hat Sixth Corps, Black Hat Fifth Corps, retreat 20 yards back into fortifications and defensive positions."

"Black Hat Sixth Corps!" Barnaby shouted, "First and Second Saint Gunners lead, maneuver left, into the vehicle fortification range. Third and Fourth Saint Gunners imdiately return to position and fall back with the Long Spear Team."

"First Saint Gun Master!" The commander of the First Saint Gun Master followed with orders, "Everyone turn left, follow the Second Saint Gun Master, advance swiftly!"

Orders were relayed one after another, the war monks stepping uniformly in pace, following the brigade and battalion commanders, completely unconcerned with leaving their backs exposed to the knights.

In the incredulous gaze of Nidesar, those war monks restored their original formation in less than half a minute.

They even once again perford a butterfly-like reformation, changing from horizontal formation to vertical, and swiftly heading towards the vehicle and fortifications behind.

"Damn it, am I facing the Royal Court Guard?" Nidesar cursed, spitting.

This level of organization and speed of reformation wasn’t unseen, but it only existed among the Emperor’s Forbidden Army of the Royal Court!

They had nothing else to do every day but dress beautifully like large dances, performing formation changes and codic fighting routines in the drill grounds.

In terms of speed, these rebels were much slower than the Forbidden Army.

But Nidesar never thought such reformation could truly appear on the battlefield; he couldn’t even fathom how such a large phalanx could change formations.

He disregarded many things, prematurely issuing the order: "Quickly change to running, javelins in hand, prepare to throw."

The Nikosaks on horseback pulled out javelins more than two ters long from behind.

These javelins were made from resilient and flexible ash wood, with a point like a long needle at the front, primarily aid to break shields.

The wind on Nidesar’s face grew fiercer, and the scenery on both sides moved backward like illusions as he raised the javelin in his hand.

With his breathing, the muscles on his arm beca more solid, each muscle bulging like dry beef jerky, tightly wrapped in skin.

The breathing technique allowed the Knights to significantly enhance the neurorecruitnt of local muscles when concentrating.

This temporary enhancent is what the Knights refer to as the source of their so-called extraordinary martial arts.

However, this temporary boost requires long-term training and is often a closely guarded secret of a noble family. Although so retainer Knights’ breathing techniques were no weaker than their masters’, their combat effectiveness was just a notch lower.

"Woo-woo-woo-woo—"

With a rolling tongue sound from his hotown in his mouth for positioning, Nidesar’s back arched, and his body, like a longbow, launched the heavy javelin in his hand.

The javelin traced a shadow in the air, bypassing the wagon fort and piercing the chest of a War Monk, erging from his lower back.

The War Monk was knocked backward, collapsing on the ground, with tallic and sweet liquid bubbling from his mouth.

The heavy javelin that could previously only be thrown thirty ters flew nearly ninety ters under Nidesar’s throw.

The Nikosaks also threw their javelins, the tips glimring under the sun, thudding onto the wagon fort and mortar low walls.

About twenty landed behind the wagon fort, and in an instant, seven or eight War Monks with pierced bodies or arms fell, clutching their wounds.

Blood spurted, or slowly trickled from corners of mouths, the imnse force even sending so flying a bit.

Even the numb War Monks on the battlefield involuntarily recoiled under the whizzing javelins, fearing being struck.

Amid the cries of the wounded, Nidesar suddenly heard a hair-raising creaking sound.

The sixth sense honed from years on the battlefield made him issue an order without thinking, "Pivot, pivot, pivot to the left!"

Under Nidesar’s order, the front row of Nikosaks turned to the left like a diverted tide.

In the corner of his eye, Nidesar saw muzzle holes rising from the wagon fort and low wall.

But he had run, leaving the retainer Knights behind exposed under the Salvation Army’s muzzle.

"Praise the Holy Wind!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!—"

The pivoting Nidesar felt sothing whizzing past his cape while painful wails ca from behind.

During the rapid gallop, he took a mont to glance back.

From the front and side, nearly a hundred lead bullets were fired, rearing up the warhorses, and retainer Knights clutched their necks, black blood pouring from their mouths and noses.

The neatly arrayed retainer Knights, after a volley, were scattered all over, dozens blown over by the invisible Devil’s Wind.

So retainer Knights, still under the potion’s effect, continued to charge, but unfortunately, as they neared the wagon fort, they were t with another volley.

As they slowed in fear, over a hundred Long Spearn had already surged out of the wagon fort.

Their iron-helted faces were ferocious, and no one could guess they were farrs in the field three months ago.

"Slay! Expel the devil, restore true faith!"

"Die, dogs of the devil!"

Left hand gripping the lower end of the spear, right hand on the butt, rotating while thrusting forward.

"Pff—"

Three and a half ter long spears, accelerated by the charging Long Spearn, plunged into the Knights’ waists and abdons.

Several retainer Knights fell with a yell, tal scraps and pieces of their ard garnts flying, thick blood bubbling out from both ends of the spear blade.

More were thrown off by warhorses, then pinned down by the Long Spearn who lifted armor skirts or tore open the collars of ard garnts, viciously stabbing short swords or daggers into soft flesh.

Seeing over three hundred retainer Knights reduced to only about two hundred fleeing back, Nidesar abandoned the attack on the Salvation Army’s right wing.

"Still too hasty," Nidesar said to his adjutant beside him, "let the infantry phalanx advance, press up, force them to exhaust their stamina and magic power, and those wagon forts and stone walls, tear them down for !"
