When Yi Ru ran the shop, she would star in the promotional videos herself. But after Tan You arrived, she had always hired models for the promotional shoots.

When Tan You ca out of the kitchen with a fruit platter, she saw Yi Ru’s mother waving at her. "Honey, co sit! I just saw the trailer!"

Tan You was a little surprised. "There was a trailer?"

"Mhm, there was. You looked so beautiful in it," Yi Ru’s mother said casually, spearing a piece of apple with her fork.

Yi Ru’s father was displeased. "What do you an, she *looked* beautiful? My daughter is *naturally* gorgeous. I rember back when she was in elentary school, boys were already following her around..."

Tan You listened quietly as her parents bickered, a gentle smile on her face. ’This is the third world I’ve experienced, and I’ve certainly seen all kinds of parents. Turns out, not every set of parents is like my own biological ones.’

The show started soon after, and Yi Ru’s parents quieted down. But as they waited through the opening dance and song, they both grew a little impatient. "Why aren’t you on yet?"

Tan You answered perfunctorily, "Soon, soon."

Just as she said that, they heard the host announce, "Let’s welco today’s first female guest!"

The mont Yi Ru’s face appeared on screen, especially after all the male contestants turned around for her, her mother sighed. "I just don’t get how it fell through in the end. How could soone like you not end up with a match?"

Tan You said, "Perhaps they just lacked the confidence. They didn’t have the courage to stand by my side."

Tan You shrugged. "Of course."

Because Tan You’s behavior wasn’t too different from Yi Ru’s personality, her parents didn’t notice anything unusual. But when Tan You perford her dance, her mother stomped her feet in excitent. "I knew sending her to dance lessons was a good idea! Look how beautiful she is!"

Yi Ru’s father played the perfect straight man. "She really is stunning!"

Tan You just watched the program quietly. To her surprise, her segnt took up half the show’s runti. As for the other two female guests, their screen ti was compressed to a minuscule amount.

She lowered her gaze and smiled faintly, clearly understanding the production team’s intentions. ’Are they trying to use to generate buzz?’ She had to admit, the production team had a good eye. For a dating show that was all but dead, getting this many comnts right after an episode aired was incredible. Clearly, Tan You’s solitary departure had struck a chord with the audience.

Tan You gave it a passing glance and moved on. She’d been on the show, and now it was over. At least the production team’s editing had been fair; they hadn’t maliciously cut her scenes to create drama. In that case, her efforts to choose her words carefully on set hadn’t been in vain.

Yi Ru’s mother sighed. "That Teacher Hu wasn’t wrong. Those male contestants were too weak. They simply didn’t have the courage to stand next to you. If they don’t even have the guts to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you, then they’re definitely not right for you."

Yi Ru’s father added, "No matter how weak a man is, he’ll always want to find a woman who’s ’less’ than him. It’s such a narrow-minded way of thinking."

She was done with the show after watching it and didn’t follow it further, but she had beco genuinely famous online. However, she was an ordinary person, not a celebrity, so after the initial commotion died down, her life gradually returned to normal.

That is, until the promotional video for "Mo Ran" was released. In the video, Tan You’s long hair was tied in a high ponytail. Dressed in red, she rode a black horse. Amid a stampede of thousands of horses, she left everyone else in the dust, her black cloak snapping in the wind.

When they finally snapped out of it, everyone imdiately replayed the video. It was just a simple advertisent, and yet no one could look away.

She didn’t perform her signature dance, nor did she speak a single word, yet no one could tear their eyes away from her.

The "Mo Ran" brand had officially taken off. Tan You was flooded with so many orders that the factory had to work overti to keep up. The new store manager was grinning from ear to ear every day; after all, her salary was commission-based.

Tan You’s career reached new heights, but compared to her "small" business, the biggest winner was the tourism industry of a certain province. The scene of heavenly horses bathing in the river amidst a thundering stampede was enough to take anyone’s breath away.

The store manager cupped her face in her hands. "Modern Chinese Style? I have to be the first one to try on the new clothes when they’re ready! Your designs are always so beautiful, Tan You."

Tan You smiled. "You really have a lot of faith in ."

"It’s the truth! I just think your designs are amazing!"

Tan You didn’t discuss it further with her. She no longer had to worry about the shop’s day-to-day operations; the manager had everything running in perfect order. All Tan You had to do was focus on her designs, and the manager would take care of the rest.
