When the Side Character Gets a System and Travels through Difference Worlds Chapter 364: Yue Ming 14
With Tan You leading by example, Chen Min really didn’t yearn for a father. Besides, Chen Wei had hardly ever been a part of Chen Min’s life, so she felt nothing for him.
Her aunt sighed. "Thankfully, your life is looking up now. Ah, once you’re divorced, we’ll find you a good man."
"I’m not in any hurry," Liuu Yuming quickly waved her hands. "There’s nothing great about marriage anyway. I need to rely on myself to make money. Plus, with Little Min holding down the fort at ho, won’t it be great for just the two of us to live together?"
"Besides, with Uncle and Auntie around, I’m not afraid of being bullied in the future at all."
Liuu Changzhen slapped the table. "You’re a daughter of our family. How could we let anyone bully you? It’s fine if you don’t want to find soone else. With this skill of yours, your life can properly begin now."
After settling the divorce arrangents, Liuu Yuming was in an excellent mood as she walked ho holding Chen Min’s hand. She was a simple person, an open book. Perhaps because she had poured all her energy into her beauty career, Liuu Yuming was very simple in other aspects—one might even say shallow.
Tan You glanced at her and suddenly flexed her fingers. Liuu Yuming’s current state could be described as nothing more than a pretty face. ’But even if she’s just a pretty face, she’s going to be an expensive one.’
’A person can’t just be pretty on the outside; they need substance on the inside. So, it’s ti to add so depth to Liuu Yuming.’
Liuu Yuming had no idea Tan You was already pondering how to add to her "curriculum." She skipped along, holding Chen Min’s hand, looking not at all like the mother of a five-year-old, but more like a young girl.
Considering she was only twenty-four, it wasn’t strange to call her a young girl. In contrast, Chen Min, standing beside her, had an air of composure far beyond her young age.
Chen Wei arrived ho the next afternoon, while Liuu Yuming was still at the factory. It was unclear what Liuu Changzhen and Chen Wei had discussed, but when Liuu Yuming got ho, her aunt told her everything had been settled.
Liuu Yuming was a little surprised. "Really? That’s great! I’ll take a day off tomorrow and get this done as soon as possible."
It was best to get the divorce finalized sooner rather than later to avoid any unnecessary complications.
Seeing the joy written all over Liuu Yuming’s face, Chen Wei felt a bit peeved. But he was, after all, a live-in son-in-law, and with Liuu Changzhen and Liuu Jun both present, he didn’t dare start a fight with her.
"Little Min is so big now. Co to Daddy..." Grasping for sothing to say, Chen Wei tried to hug Chen Min.
Chen Min stared at him for a mont. "You and Mom are getting a divorce. What about my schooling? Aren’t you going to pay?"
Chen Wei’s face stiffened. ’What I feared most has finally happened.’ He didn’t have any money. But he didn’t dare say that, especially since the clothes and accessories he was wearing all looked quite nice.
Liuu Yuming scoffed. "We don’t want his money. My uncle should have told you that after we divorce, Little Min will have nothing to do with you."
"She doesn’t need you to raise her, and in the future, your life and death will have nothing to do with her either."
Chen Wei nodded repeatedly. "He told , he told ."
Liuu Yuming glanced at him. "Fine. I’ll take Little Min to change her surna tomorrow anyway. She’s a child of the Liuu family, so she should be nad Liuu."
Chen Wei didn’t care in the slightest. "It has nothing to do with anymore. She can have whatever surna she wants."
So people were just that heartless. Liuu Yuming wasn’t disappointed. All her disappointnt had been used up over the past few years. Now, facing Chen Wei, she actually felt calm.
Besides, her main focus now was making money. Liuu Yuming truly wasn’t interested in n anymore.
The next day, when they went to the Civil Affairs Bureau for the divorce, Liuu Jun, Liuu Changzhen, and the others all went along to intimidate Chen Wei, afraid he might back out. It wasn’t until they saw Liuu Yuming holding the divorce certificate that everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Liuu Changzhen patted Liuu Yuming’s shoulder. "With no one holding you back anymore, life will be better for you and Little Min."
Liuu Min, forrly Chen Min, tilted her little head up. "Mom and I will live a good life."
As she spoke, she glanced at Tan You, who was standing to the side. "And Grandma."
She said this very quietly, and no one heard but Liuu Yuming. Liuu Yuming gently bounced Liuu Min in her arms. "Of course. Our lives will definitely get better and better from now on."
After getting the divorce certificates, they all went their separate ways, parting in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau. Watching the Liuu family leave so decisively, Chen Wei couldn’t help but sneer. ’What’s the point of staying in this poor backwater?’
’A handso guy like should be making his way in a big city.’ Patting his own face, Chen Wei turned and got into a taxi.
Liuu Yuming’s divorce didn’t cause much of a stir. As far as everyone else was concerned, her life was no different than before. However, she was going to the clothing factory less often now. Liuu Yuming was already thinking about quitting next month.
She had makeup trials that ran late into the night, and shadowing a client for a wedding could take up a whole day. On top of that, she still had to work at the factory. Even an iron man couldn’t keep up with that schedule.
Tan You supported Liuu Yuming’s decision to quit. "If you quit, you can focus more on your career. I suggest you move into town. Open a shop there. With a proper storefront, it will be more convenient for Liuu Jun to go out and find business."
Liuu Yuming didn’t worry about a thing. "Okay, I’ll do whatever Mom says. I know Mom would never do anything to harm ."
A flash of a smile crossed Tan You’s eyes. ’Ah, Liuu Yuming. A classic mama’s girl. I never thought I’d raise such a mama’s girl, but to be honest, I don’t dislike her this way.’
Since they were going to open a shop, Liuu Yuming began to plan. The next day, after she t with Liuu Jun and told him, he was overjoyed. "Actually, I had the sa idea! I’ve been looking at storefronts in town for the past few days. Sis, I’ve seen three places..."
Well, with Liuu Jun around, Liuu Yuming wanted to worry even less. Stretching languidly, Liuu Yuming laughed. "This is great. I have Little Min at ho and Jun on the go. I’m so lucky."
Her aunt patted Liuu Yuming’s head. "Don’t say that. If it weren’t for your skill, none of this could have been organized."
Even though her younger son was always running around and his workload was much heavier than Liuu Yuming’s, her aunt wasn’t the least bit jealous. Without Liuu Yuming’s skill, the business wouldn’t exist in the first place.
Besides, it was good for young people to go out and test themselves. Just look at Jun—he seed much more mature now.
"Jun is already twenty, and he’s earning so money now. Shouldn’t we be looking for a wife for him?"
Liuu Changzhen imdiately shot down the idea. "No rush. He’s still young."
His wife was not pleased. "What do you an, young? Our eldest’s son is already in the sixth grade!"
Liuu Changzhen said, "He’s busy making money right now. If you make him stop to get married, wouldn’t that just be causing trouble? Once he’s earned enough, it’ll be easier to find a wife."
"We’ll find you a daughter-in-law from town then."
His wife thought about it and didn’t press the issue. "Fine. Let Jun focus on making money first. With money, what kind of good girl can’t he find?"
