With several more rounds of mahjong passing, the atmosphere beca increasingly bizarre. Out of the four people at the mahjong table, only An Nan had yet to lose a tile or take a sip of alcohol. The other three had drunk more or less, with Lan Luo drinking so much that Xi Shaoqi had to take his place. Even Yu Wenhao, known for his good alcohol tolerance, was barely holding on, feeling dizzy at tis. Luckily, Lan Xinxixi would offer so guidance now and then.
In his heart, he was already in complete admiration of An Nan, this woman.
After another round in which An Nan won again, Lan Xinxixi finally couldn’t help but say, "Nannan, you’re too amazing. You win every ti. How do you do it?"
An Nan was silent for a mont, her light gray-black eyes eting hers casually. She replied lazily, "It’s very simple. There aren’t that many tiles in mahjong. If you pay a little more attention, you naturally can rember them."
Upon hearing this, everyone exchanged bewildered glances. Simple? Rembering all those tiles is considered simple? Then are they all fools?
Only Lin Mubai’s reaction was different from the others. Or rather, he had long observed the secret to this little woman winning every tile. Like the others, his feelings were nothing but admiration. Although he could rember quite a few tiles too, he couldn’t do it as thoroughly as she could, rembering every tile played, every missing tile, and keeping it all in his heart.
In fact, at this mont, he even felt a sense of shared honor. This was the little woman he liked. Her excellence had earned the admiration of everyone, just as if they were admiring him. Instantly, the last bit of dissatisfaction in his heart disappeared completely, leaving only the determination to play on with this little woman. As long as his Nannan was happy, that was enough.
But Lin Mubai miscalculated. The more An Nan saw his calm expression, the more unhappy she felt inside, and the more she wanted to drink this man under the table and give him a hard blow.
So, her speed of playing tiles got faster and faster. At one point, she wasn’t even giving others space to think, causing people to frequently play the wrong tiles, filling the room with groans of complaints.
"Damn, I played the wrong tile, can I take it back?"
"Third Young Master Xi, stop being shaless. Once it’s wrong, there’s no taking it back," Yu Wenhao gloated.
"Get lost, you shaless person."
Only An Nan and Lin Mubai were exceptionally quiet.
Another round went by, and Lin Mubai lost. An Nan looked at him gloatingly, "You lost."
"Mm."
The voice was slightly lazy, even carrying a hint of indulgence, "I did lose. Bring the wine."
Xi Shaoqi was extrely eager, imdiately handing over the wine, "Drink up, drink up, hurry up and drink." Being good brothers for so many years, he’d never seen this guy drunk. He wondered if he could take advantage of Nannan’s presence tonight to see what this guy looked like drunk. Feeling delighted, he had already instructed soone to book rooms for them.
"Haha, tonight everyone eat, drink, and have fun. It’s my treat."
"Yay, yay."
A series of excited cheers followed.
When An Nan heard this, she rely raised an eyebrow subtly at soone, showing neither approval nor disapproval. Her hands continued with their actions, the corners of her mouth carrying a faint laziness. Her eyes remained calm, giving no hint of what she was thinking. In fact, in the next few rounds, she ended up last, drinking several cups in a row.
