When An Nan continued to stand alone on the balcony, the aura around her was gradually replaced by loneliness. Her heart was empty, and she felt cold all over without a trace of vitality.
Suddenly, she missed that guy who was always cheeky and inconsistent so much.
She wanted to see his smile, hear his voice.
The next mont, her body moved faster than her thoughts. She grabbed the phone on the coffee table and turned around to run downstairs.
At the entrance of the ’Champs Elysees’, unfamiliar figures constantly brushed past her. An Nan stood there, her eyes full of confusion. For a mont, she didn’t know where to find that man, and even forgot about her phone.
While she stood there in a plain and clean manner, a man observed each of her actions, and his heart inexplicably ached.
Since the first encounter with this little woman on Fifth Avenue in the United States, her presence had always felt faint, lazy, yet not without charm. Never had she appeared so helpless and bewildered.
Gently, Lin Mubai hailed a cab. Gently, he stepped forward. Gently, a light curve ford at the corner of his mouth. Gently, he called out to the figure he had missed for so long, "Nannan, are you looking for ?"
The next mont, Lin Mubai saw her figure rushing towards him. Without hesitation, he spread his arms wide and embraced her tightly, "Alright, alright, it’s okay. I’m here, always here."
The person in his arms still didn’t speak, rely clinging to him tightly.
Handso n and beautiful won naturally attract attention, especially when their figures look so harmonious and intimate. Lin Mubai had long grown used to such stares since he was young. However, the little woman in his arms, upon noticing those curious glances, embarrassedly buried her head in his chest, unwilling to lift it.
Lin Mubai took in all these reactions, lightly curling the corners of his mouth into a soft smile, "Let’s go."
If they stayed any longer, this little woman might suffocate in his arms, leaving early seed like the best choice.
Then, Lin Mubai took her hand and walked towards his car. An Nan, not completely rationally lost, quickly stopped him as he was about to sit in the driver’s seat, "Lin Mubai, are you crazy? You drank so much tonight and still dare to drive."
An Nan’s scolding made Lin Mubai halt his steps, and a hint of helplessness appeared deep in his eyes as he t her gaze, "Then what should we do? We both drank, if we can’t drive back, it seems we can’t get a cab here either. Are we supposed to walk back?"
The ’Champs Elysees’ is located in a relatively prosperous area of B City. To reduce traffic pressure, a section of the road here only allows vehicles of ’Champs Elysees’ guests. This has created the current situation where they cannot leave without driving.
Lin Mubai’s words made An Nan frown, but she quickly cald down. Her gaze rested montarily on the exquisitely decorated building behind them, sparking an idea, "Why don’t we stay here for the night? There should be rooms available."
"Sure, I have no problem with that." As long as this little woman wasn’t angry anymore and was willing to pay attention to him, even if he had to stay in a thatched hut for the night, he didn’t mind at all.
Thus, the two figures who had left appeared once more at the bar counter of the ’Champs Elysees’.
