After the person giving the report left, Jesse continued to stand by the glass window, maintaining his previous posture. Without continuing to answer the question, Lin Mubai easily shifted the topic, "After returning ho, what are your plans? Will you stay in the country?"
"Yeah, I’ll stay here for high school."
"High school?" Lin Mubai’s voice was full of surprise; shouldn’t a twelve-year-old just have graduated elentary school?
An Jiayou nodded again amidst his confusion, "Yeah, I want to grow up quickly."
"Why?"
This ti, An Jiayou didn’t answer, instead turning his gaze to the azure sky outside the plane.
Seeing him like this, a faint pain arose in Lin Mubai’s heart. He gently raised one hand to caress the other’s soft hair, softly saying, "It’s okay, I’ll be here in the future."
The black eyes staring at the azure sky froze for a mont. How many years had it been since he last heard these words? But he still didn’t dare to rely on them, fearing that the ending would still be disappointnt.
Because over these years, he had been disappointed too many tis, so much that he dared not hope for anything more.
For the rest of the journey, An Jiayou rarely spoke. Most of the ti, he either took out his iPad to watch TV, play gas, or stared blankly out the window, with the remaining ti spent sleeping.
