In the midst of this strange atmosphere, Shen ngqi strode directly to Lin Mubai, a bewitching smile hidden in her eyes. Witnessing this, An Nan’s face finally showed a small crack in its calm deanor. Shen ngqi noticed and inwardly rejoiced, tilting her head and saying casually to An Nan, "What’s there to be afraid of? I won’t steal your man. But honestly speaking, you have good taste in n."

An Nan rolled her eyes instantly, warning, "You better stop right there." This woman, seriously... after all these years, only certain parts seem to have matured, while in other areas, especially her brain, it’s as if she’s been wasting food; the brain capacity remains as rare as ever.

"Sorry, I don’t know how to write ’stop right there’," Shen ngqi said, her gaze continuing to linger on the charming face of the man before her. She then cheerfully exclaid, "Nan, turns out it’s not that you don’t like n, but rather prefer those who are younger than you, hahaha, got it, got it." Her voice carried a sudden revelation.

An Nan, instantly flustered, worried more about soone’s temper, sneaked a glance at Little White’s expression, noticing he showed no signs of anger. She subtly relaxed, once again shifting her gaze to that certain soone, her tone shedding its forr amicability, now tinged with anger, "Whoever you are, just hurry up and get lost."

"Hmph, putting love before friendship, fine, I’ll leave, but don’t regret it later." This woman is as heartless as ever. She disappeared for years, and now finally eting up, she still places love before friendship. Just wait, she definitely plans to tattle to soone.

As she left, she threw Young Master Lin a wink, leaving behind a bewildering remark, "Man of An Nan’s house, I wonder if you can hold out till the end and beco the true protagonist."

After Shen ngqi departed, An Nan proactively approached Lin Mubai, choosing not to initiate an explanation, but simply staring at him with innocent eyes.

She’s aware that he and the others are curious about her relationship with Shen ngqi; however, she doesn’t know how to explain it yet.

As the other party remained silent for a long ti, An Nan stood there quite uncomfortable. Just as she was at a loss about what to do, the person in front of her finally spoke, relieving her awkwardness: "How about a round between us? If you don’t give a chance to make a move, I’ll agree to one of your requests."

"Really?" An Nan’s eyes widened, sparkling brilliantly.

"I keep my word."

"Great, make sure you don’t regret it!" As long as she could dispel his anger, she’d have no qualms about unleashing her full prowess.

"I won’t."

"So let’s get started! Who goes first?"

"Ladies first, I’ll let you."

With a playful arch of her brow, An Nan’s dark eyes glead slyly, "You really want to go first? Don’t regret it."

"I won’t." I won’t regret you, nor anything else. Lin Mubai silently kept the latter thought to himself while gazing affectionately at the spirited woman before him. The cleverness of him never lets himself dwell too long in entanglent. The unease within him is indeed a significant issue, but he’s aware this unease is self-created. The reality might be different, and what he needs to do is shower her with all his affection so she won’t bear to leave him again.
