The voice behind beca increasingly subdued; An Jiayou knew the woman was upset. He didn’t know how to comfort her, so he simply tightened his grip, hoping his warmth could soothe her.
This scene, along with the conversation that had just taken place, was witnessed by the man outside the door.

On An Jiayou’s face, gone was his usual cool deanor, replaced with a trace of determined seriousness. He looked into the other’s eyes with his dark gaze, "Uncle Mu Bai, can we talk?"
In fact, he had long been aware that Lin Mubai was standing at the door. He had deliberately led An Nan into that conversation to give Lin Mubai so preparation in his heart, rather than having him panic when things unfolded.

Under Lin Mubai’s questioning, An Jiayou’s hesitant gaze fell upon his face, and then slowly he opened his mouth to speak, "Uncle Mu Bai, I think you already know that An Nan has a secret. Lin Mubai thought it over carefully. The little guy wasn’t stupid and cleverly replied, "Uncle Mu Bai, I’d rather sleep in my own room tonight, so I’m returning your room to you."
His thoughts were bluntly clarified by soone, Lin Mubai’s face showed no embarrassnt; instead, he felt quite pleased, "Well, Jiayou, thanks for your generosity then."
