These oblivious third wheels, hurry up and leave, and don’t interrupt him and his wife’s private monts.
Yet, the won in the Lan family are all incredibly oblivious. Didn’t they say they’d stay to take care of you? Have they run off?"
An Nan had been unconscious earlier and doesn’t know the situation; she can only shake her head helplessly, indicating she’s unaware, and then looks at Lin Mubai on the adjacent bed, wanting answers.
At this mont, Lin Mubai is being particularly proud; he tilts his head, says nothing, with his lips clearly pouted, showing obvious displeasure, though no one can understand why.
Lan Xinru seems to be well aware of his proud deanor; she’s neither angry nor upset, just smiles while advising An Nan: "You had so fetal movent earlier, but thankfully the baby is fine. You’re very weak now, so don’t talk too much. I’ll call those two runaway bastards to co back so you’ll be more comfortable tonight. I have night duty, but I’ll co as soon as I can, and you can call anyti if you need anything."
"Okay, thank you." An Nan nods, indicating she understands.
Honestly, upon hearing about the fetal movent, she was truly scared, but thankfully the baby is fine now, or she’d feel guilty forever.
Unconsciously, she lightly placed her hand over her bulging belly, with a glow of maternal love lighting up her face, making those watching her feel uplifted instinctively.
Lin Mubai’s mood throughout the night has been tethered to this woman; if her heart were a graph, it would be a series of rising and falling lines.
Thankfully, both the child and she are fine now, or else he’d beat himself up, blaming himself for being right by their side and yet still failing to take care of them properly.
While Lan Xinru was calling on the side, she thoroughly reprimanded the two on the other end of the call: "Couldn’t one of you have gone out to buy food? How could you both leave together? They’re both patients now; what if sothing happens?"
"Alright then, hurry back. I arrived just in ti earlier, and now they’re both fine. Co back soon; I have things to deal with in my departnt, and I’ll be heading back shortly."
As she was hanging up the phone, Lin Mubai said to her, "If you have duties, go ahead and handle them. They’ll be back soon anyway, and in the anti, we can call the nurse if anything cos up. It’ll be alright."
Lan Xinru indeed has matters in her departnt waiting for her, and she can’t stay much longer. Yet, as she was leaving, she couldn’t help but remind them: "Don’t get up recklessly; if anything happens, make sure to find a nurse."
An Nan was just about to assure her that she understood when the displeased male voice from the adjacent bed interrupted: "Alright, alright, how can you be nagging like this when you’re not even old yet, hurry and go."
"Ungrateful rascal, always in a rush to get rid of now." With her words trailing off, Lan Xinru hurriedly left.
