"Greg!!!"
The elf refugees shouted the na of their god loudly and proudly.
Greg—Reg—Eg—
The na of a certain Golden King echoed around the outskirts of Black Stone City, quite bizarrely.
For a mont, those who knew the whole story froze in disbelief.
"What the hell is this..."
Lanle wiped the moisture from the corner of his mouth and looked at the elf refugees with an incredibly bizarre expression.
Did he hear it wrong, is the god they worship nad Greg?
Could it be that his ears were scread deaf by the Bomb Dragon during the battle just now?
It must be the sa na, it has to be the sa na, right? No matter how they think about it, the Greg from Sain Dungeon can't possibly be worshiped as a god. Even worshiping Overlord Vonier would seem more reasonable.
However, he instantly noticed a rusty badge pinned to the elf's chest, engraved with soone's portrait.
That crown, that old face... isn't that Greg from Stoneveil City!
Lanle rubbed his eyes and looked again, it's indeed Greg's likeness, but he just couldn't believe it.
This world seems to have beco sothing beyond his imagination.
Is this an illusion? Could it be that Sain never acted at all and Younka trapped their spirits in an illusion technique?
"You..."
This Second Prince wanted to ask sothing but suddenly didn't know what to say.
There are so many illogical points that he didn't know where to start mocking.
Power, prestige, reputation... Does Greg have any traits that could be worshiped as a god? One must be quite eccentric to worship Greg.
Thinking of this, Lanle glanced at the elf refugee's long ears and suddenly felt relieved.
It turns out they're elves, then it feels alright, as their kind always tends to act unexpectedly.
Just as Lanle wanted to say sothing but hadn't yet, the dwarf refugee beside the elves, tied up like a dumpling, suddenly crawled like a maggot to his feet and shouted with a coarse voice:
"If you don't fancy that god, how about learning about my god! I assure you will be satisfied!"
"And who is your god?"
"The Red Wolf of Radagon!" The dwarf replied loudly at once.
Alright, this one isn't even human anymore.
"I, I believe in the divine beast clergy!" On the other side, a kobold shouted even louder.
What a bunch of freaks...
Lanle covered his forehead, suddenly feeling a headache. It's the kind of headache you get when you can't keep up with the absurdity of their logic.
The guards next to him rushed forward, giving a few slaps to quiet the refugees down.
"I can only say, worthy of the Ten Thousand Religions Country, it harbors all kinds of bizarre faiths."
He gracefully pulled back his pant leg, not kicking the elf in the face was considered quite benevolent and friendly.
He didn't want to ask why these refugees worship such peculiar gods, simply waved his hand and ordered the guards:
"These people are not ordinary refugees, you must strike hard."
"Yes!" The guards responded with a voice full of loyalty, as if they were invigorated.
"This elf needs a thorough investigation," Lanle pointed at the elf refugee and said, "especially to investigate whether he has any previous records of perverted murders, such as dismbernt and collecting body parts. This guy is the most dangerous, he absolutely cannot be let go."
"No, why!" The elf refugee cried out in despair.
"You're worshiping Greg and still asking why?"
Lanle glanced at him; it is said that followers deliberately imitate their god's deeds, and what did Greg do? Killing and limb attachnt, of course.
This elf refugee is too dangerous, he must be thoroughly investigated!
The crying elf refugee was dragged away by the guards.
Just then, Lanle suddenly noticed sothing, furrowing his brows.
Because he saw confusion in the elf refugee's eyes, a kind of pure confusion from soone completely unaware of what cri they had committed or why they were being punished.
"Wait a mont."
He called off the guards and walked up to the elf refugee, asking:
"Do you know what domain Greg governs as a god?"
The elf refugee imdiately replied:
"He is the creator of the world, the master of all things in the world..."
"Say sothing outside the standard template."
"Uh, uh..."
The elf refugee got stuck at this point.
Seeing his appearance, Lanle instantly understood what was going on, sighed casually, and spoke to the guards:
"No need to investigate, this guy probably doesn't have a murder charge, just handle him as a stowaway."
The refugees were quickly taken away, and the commotion was resolved.
"Your Highness, why did you suddenly stop the guards from investigating that refugee?" On the way back, the bodyguard asked in confusion.
"If Jon were here, he would understand imdiately." Lanle tapped the bodyguard on the head, annoyed.
Jon was the bodyguard who followed Steeran and the others to find the Dragon Feast Cathedral; he was also a player of the Insect Control Stick who left the hunting team. He was one of Lanle's capable and reliable subordinates.
"Hehe, please enlighten ." The bodyguard just chuckled foolishly.
"I'm not unaware of the situation over in Ten Thousand Religions Country."
Lanle shook his finger with a look of being a wise guy, saying:
"That country has always been a chaotic ss. They say it's about equality among all religions, where every church can have a place in their country. But honestly, it's still those few big churches holding sway, while other small churches are just exploited there. The current grassroots insurrections are entirely expected."
"Small churches will use any opportunity to attract attention, daring to characterize any random figure as a god for worship, seizing on every rush to increase the church's popularity."
"Take the person who was just clamoring about faith in Greg, for instance. He actually knows nothing about Greg, all his praises are just clichéd phrases. This is the typical thod of a small church; they only exploited Greg because he was popular recently."
Lanle exhibited an air of knowing Ten Thousand Religions Country thoroughly, and continued:
"If you go around Sikairom, you might even see belief in the Curse Frog."
"Can such a reckless approach really attract followers?"
The bodyguard was full of skepticism.
"Don't underestimate the lower limits of humans, especially elves," Lanle chuckled. "This ti the internal conflict in Sikairom is also due to people."
"It's said that those big churches have discovered treasures, far more valuable than weapons, but not a single piece of information was revealed, and none of the spies I sent there returned."
"You actually sent people there," the bodyguard said thoughtfully. "Did the treasure cause the insurrection?"
"No, it wasn't because of that. Even combined, other churches couldn't defeat those big ones, so why dare to rebel?"
"Could it be...?"
"It's the big churches undergoing internal conflict first."
Lanle's lips curled into a delighted smile as he said:
"The Holy Light Church has always had a peculiar interest in training a bunch of won as henchn. This quirk later beca prevalent among several big churches, and this internal conflict stemd from them."
He drew the silhouette of a woman in the air, saying: "According to my intel, this woman directly caused the conflict."
The drawing depicted a woman who looked quite pretty.
If Gong Qiying were here, he should recognize her as the skilled Holy Light Church mber nad Bright Light, who once ca to Sain Dungeon.
ntioning Bright Light alone might not ring a bell, but if it's said that Bright Light beca an "Awakened Woman" due to the tornt of the No Light Area in the dungeon, it surely jogs the mory.
"This woman sohow had an enlightennt and crafted a theory called the 'Declaration of Freedom' that she first spread within her own Holy Light Church, and then it reached other churches, inspiring many comrades who could only be henchn without any freedom within churches. They gathered together and picked a date by drawing lots."
"And now those big churches are in chaos."
Lanle's delighted smile beca increasingly unrestrained as he spoke.
"..."
The bodyguard was silent, the reason being he couldn't imagine what the content of the so-called Declaration of Freedom was like. After all, one cannot imagine sothing they've never seen before. He thought about it and said:
"So, after the big churches undergo internal conflict, the smaller churches below see an opportunity to seize the treasures and just rise up?"
"Correct answer, it's that simple."
Just as they passed by the Holy Light Church's cathedral in Black Stone City, Lanle glanced inside. Although the place was brightly lit, it was deserted. The number of believers had decreased, and there were no nuns around despite it being the usual ti for the clergy to preach there. It felt desolate inside.
This scene made those from the Starfire Church loitering nearby seem bored and they turned to leave.
Sikairom in Ten Thousand Religions Country is the Holy Light Church's base camp, so trouble there seems to have affected the cathedral in Black Stone City.
"That woman called Bright Light is really capable, ssing up several churches single-handedly—or rather, ssing up a whole country."
Lanle muttered to himself:
"How did she conceive those freedom theories? What led her to think of them?"
If such a thing truly exists, then it is indeed an "invaluable virtue."
"If she purely devised them herself, then she truly is a genius."

Sain Dungeon, City Lord's room.
While routinely watching adventures fall short, Gong Qiying suddenly felt an itch at the back of his head, sensing his rits rising trendously from so unknown connection.
"Did I do sothing good?"
He looked around in puzzlent. "I do too many good deeds every day to recall."
At that mont, a red letter from the altar arrived, sent by Red Teeth.
Is it another request to exchange for a dragon?
Gong Qiying opened the letter to glance at it, finding only one sentence:
["We've found a traitor among us"]
