On the bustling streets of Bed City, a lazy voice reached Dal, who was out for a stroll.

"Yeah, I’m talking to you."
He turned his head to see the black-haired shopkeeper of the Madar Magic Tool Store waving at him from the shop.
Beast Balls? Never heard of that. Must be soone trying to sell weird gadgets.
Dal shook his head, deciding to ignore it. Thinking about tomorrow’s all-out challenge against the Undead Team had left him sleepless tonight, so he ca out for a walk.
He didn’t expect to be marketed to while taking a stroll. This is just... I’d better head back. Whatever the guy says, I’m not buying it.
"I’ve heard the Undead Team loves these little pills," the shopkeeper added.
"!?"
When he ca to his senses, Dal was still standing on the street, but now he was holding a bulging paper bag in his arms, filled with so-called "Beast Balls"—Monster Blood Pills.
"What... what am I doing..." He winced, starting to ponder over his recent actions.
It seed that the shopkeeper, nad Madar, told him these Beast Balls were the favorite of the Undead Team warriors, and that popping one could significantly boost combat power during a fight...
And then he impulsively bought out all the Beast Balls in the shop!?
Thinking about this, he couldn’t help but punch his own chest, grieving over the gold coins that had just slipped through his fingers.
Hopefully, these Beast Balls really have the effects the shopkeeper boasted about. If not, he’s definitely coming back for an explanation.
But actually, the biggest expense wasn’t the Beast Balls, but sothing else.
"I heard you guys are part of the Fran Guard, planning to challenge the Undead Team? If so, I have a suggestion."
"Why not try using Thunder? You see, the Undead Team wears armor, right? Armor conducts thunder, so their weakness might be Thunder?"
"Of course, this is just a guess. After all, I’m not strong enough to face them myself; I can only guess from watching clips of the Undead Team."
The shopkeeper’s words triggered Dal’s thoughts, and he ended up spending a lot of money to buy many Thunder Grease items to imbue his weapons with Thunder.

"Although the Undead Team’s story is touching, there’s no point fighting a battle where victory seems impossible, right?"
Yeah, how can a story alone attract people to face the Undead Team repeatedly if they simply can’t win?
If this continues, the Undead Team is going to be benchwarrs.
Change, change is necessary. First, people need to see the hope of victory, to witness the first kill of the Fran Undead Team.
But it can’t be too easy, or it would undermine the dignity of the Undead Team. Thus, the first-kill team must look impressive, like the combination of the Sword Saint and the Fran Guard.
After this first kill, so additional thods are needed to continue attracting adventurers.
Regarding this, Gong Qiying had so preliminary thoughts. It would involve using [Permissions: Strong and Weak Balance]. After the first kill, other adventurers might face an adjusted-strength version of the Undead Team during their challenges.
But the team’s strength couldn’t be reduced too much, with a final lower limit set at C .
This way, people can see a bit of hope, but still, many might not manage to defeat them. What then?
"If you can’t win, so be it, I can force you to fight."
Not being able to win is fine. Depleting at least half or even a third of the health should be possible for adventurers, right?
As long as Gong Qiying’s preset goals were t, even if adventurers ultimately failed and got no reward, they could still unlock new features, like... a reward worth dying for, and a new map where that reward is located.
That map is the one between Fran Fort and Yilushier of the Cold Valley—
Casas Underground Tomb.
That will be an extension of the Undead Team and Abyss story, complenting the current storyline of Sain Dungeon.
After much thought, Gong Qiying felt that the stories presented by the Dungeon should be more linear. The Magic Academy storyline was his first attempt, putting the entire narrative clearly and straightforwardly for adventurers to see, making it easier for them to grasp the storyline and for himself to keep things in order.
