Jed limped through the Academy Gate Town, leaning on a sturdy tree branch he found sowhere.
Fortunately, they didn’t get lost, but they encountered a few moderately intense battles, winning with the help of their weapons.
So why was he limping?
Because when he transford into the wind and rushed around, he didn’t pay attention to the terrain. After dispelling the transformation, he fell off a mountain.
"Maybe I’m really not suited for this stuff..."
Spa glanced at him and said, "Hurry up and check if you’re missing anything. I just lost two potions in the battle."
Upon hearing this, Jed quickly checked his belongings. Relaxing visibly after confirming his weapons were intact, he checked other items with less caution and finally said:
"Everything’s normal, I didn’t lose anything. Looks like you’re just unlucky."
He carried all the items a "rcenary" should have, so he instinctively felt there was no problem.
Yes, by rcenary standards.
"Is this the Academy Gate Town? It looks different from the rumors."
Jed looked around. He had heard that the Academy Gate Town was filled with adventurers’ tents and trash, with adventurers resting everywhere, indicating a chaotic and dirty environnt. But now it didn’t seem to be the case.
There were still tents, but they were clearly designated areas, and everything was placed more orderly. Adventurers were everywhere on the streets, but there was no trash. The overflowing garbage bins were being cleaned by soone.
There were no collapsed buildings in the town; they had all been cleared and repaired by the adventurer’s guild. Newly built buildings shot up everywhere, mostly residential houses, with a few distinctive structures. Jed even saw a building under rapid construction with a sign stating "Bed City’s Adventurer’s Guild Branch."
The construction speed in a world with magic is really fast; even the civil engineering guys are using magic.
So caravans stationed personnel here to purchase various materials. Priests from the Holy Light Church provided healing services, and blacksmith Andre and rchant Curry were surrounded by people. Adventurers were coming and going, reflecting a thriving scene.
This is the unique bustling life at the initial phase of developing a dungeon.
"Seems like the construction is going well..." Jed said, rubbing his chin while observing. "Do you think when the captain’s dream is realized, we’ll build our territory like this?"
"Maybe." Spa rarely smiled, "But that bonfire gives an uneasy feeling. I don’t want to get close."
"Excuse , are you newcors?" At this mont, a young girl ran over holding a stack of pamphlets.
The two exchanged a glance and nodded.
"Great, I am an intern at the Skyrim Strategy Group, responsible for distributing handbooks to newcors entering the town to help them quickly understand the developnt status of Lake Lienia and the urgently needed work."
The girl smiled and handed over a pamphlet with both hands. "Please accept it if you don’t mind. I usually stay near Mr. Andre, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask ."
"But if I really helped you, please give a good review. I’m looking to beco a full-fledged mber of the Skyrim Strategy Group."
The girl bounced away.
"She is... very energetic."
It took Jed a mont to snap out of it after the girl’s barrage, then he and Spa started to peruse the pamphlet.
It introduced the Lake District in a graphical format, and the craftsmanship looked quite exquisite.
[Academy Gate Town: A safe area shrouded in bonfires; no monster dares to intrude. You can rest here at ease. The blacksmith can provide weapon forging and enhancent. rchants sell various magical items, occasionally rare items and discounts. The town’s central teleportation array allows exiting the dungeon or heading further underground]
[Reyalucaria Magic Academy: The center of Lake Lienia, a typical "Sain mode" area. It’s torturous for novices but feels familiar to those who have explored other Sain areas. It’s recomnded to form teams of at least twenty for challenges]
